what size hooks do i need for these lures?

Answer: You can use a variety of hooks based on your preference maybe from a 7/0 to a 9/0 or 10/0 hook ..... since targeting big game (tuna, marlin, etc) .... must be strong/magnum hook. I use Mustad 7691DT hooks in a 8/0 with this particular setup. I think the Mustad 7691DT are the best hooks for trolling for big game! Good luck.

Answer: Huz-b says he thinks he used 9/0’s. We’re on the couch and they are waaayyy too far in the next room to check.

What is the length and the weight of the single lure?

Answer: The size is either .... I haven’t re-checked specs .... but I believe either 8 or 10 inches for the lure. When you put a ballyhoo onto the hook it will become longer. Final length will depend on the size of the ballyhoo you choose to use ... I.e. small, medium, large, or select? I think medium or large may be best choices to use.

Can the skirts be replaced?

Answer: Yes .... all manufactures make replacement skirts and you can mix and match from manufactures but check size of heads and skirts to make sure comparable before buying

Do these lures have a hook included in them?

Answer: No hooks included but its make it even better you can choose yourself either single,double or triple head hook I just got those and its very easy to set it up

Do they sink or I need weight for fast trolling?

Answer: They need no weight; they are a trolling lure. Simply add leader...like 150# mono, 8 foot, and a swivel, and clip on your main line. Troll at about 8 knots...

Answer: you definitely need weigh for fast trolling!

These are catching fish. Pulled in a mahi and an wahoo today and caught a few more the trip before that one. Good weight to them. I dressed them up a bit by adding a third skirt and holographic wings. Just bought a second set of these.

When trolling at 5-8 knots no problem
If you happen to troll more than 9 knots the plastic skirt falls apart the head of the lure !!!!
