Answer: The difference between 05 and 07 is the overall length. 07 = 2.75 inches. Also, for standard shad raps, as size increases so does the depth, unless its a shallow runner or scatter rap. Hooks size usually increases.

Answer: 07 is a little longer, weighs a little more, and dives a little deeper than the 05. I always purchase the 07. It is a killer bait on bass and white bass. I always buy silver or shad color.

Bought 10 rapalas and rapala wont give money back cause they said it had to be me hitting them on my boat....not. just threw 5 away and gave rest as xmas presants.

Made well overall, after a nice 30" northern pike hit it tho, one of them got squished pretty good to the point the tongue got loose. Sturdy hooks and fantastic action. One day out and had 15 pike hit it hard and its still going!

This is by far one of the best rapalas I have ever used. The shad rap has carried me through thick and thin, and it feels good to know their lures never disappoint. Out of the 200+ times ive gone fishing with this shad rap, I have never skunked due to the controlled sink rate. They cast far, have good action, and rarely get snagged. Works wonders on smallies and largemouth too.

I have had quite a few of these. Very effective, trolling or retrieving. However it doesn't cast far due to light weight. The back starts to show sign of cracking up after about a season, which seems reasonable. The tail end starts to chip off about the same time. Generally it's made in high quality though...paints stay on really well, for example. I would give a 4.5 star rating and will buy again.

The first cast I made with my new shad rap hooked a muskie we estimated over 36 inches. We were getting ready to leave the resort Marina & I just flipped it out about 30 feet.
