Dose the cord come with it

Answer: I am not sure what cord is in question. When you open the back of the grill there are two 1/4" spade lugs that slip onto this element. In my case, I also had to drill out and install a grounding connection. It is advisable to replace the two 1/4" connectors on the internal wiring as they are usually worn out and will keep the new element from working. There are no cords, nor 1/4" spade connectors provided. There are good Youtube videos that you should watch.

Answer: I have the 30 inch Masterbuilt smoker with the remote and the grill heating element was exactly the same as the one I pulled out. My smoker is now working and not blowing the breaker! Regarding model number, I'm not certain about that. I used the smoker size and looked at the picture to see if the part looked the same.

My 20072106 has a ground wire. I do not see one on yours where is that attached?

Answer: notice on both sides of the heating element where you are going to install the element there are two electrical hookups. On the outside of each there are two small bolts with the install kit you get two small nuts which screw onto one of the bolts. your ground wire fits over one of the bolts and is fastened with the small nut. These, also hold the heating element onto the smoker. You also get new wires and a gasket that goes between the heating element and the smoker wall. This all fits where the old one came out.

Answer: If it resembles the original one, you can probably make it fit. Even though this was for a Master built smoker, I adapted it to fit in my double door Cajun Injector smoker. It cooks better now than it ever did when it was new!

Answer: It should. This fits most 30" Masterbuilt smokers. If you have a 40" you'll need the bigger element. Only took about 20 minutes to change out the element. Make sure to run it for an hour or two to burn off the coating before you cook with it.

In order to ensure no fitting problem, I suggest to double check if your old element has the same construction with our image shows. Answer: I replaced my 800W element from a 30" model 20070411 smoker with this element. Do not know if it will fit properly in a 72070206 smoker. It will probably work electically but may not fit. Your device is not listed.

Answer: I tried to find a parts list for your model, but didn't see a replacement element. Some models don't have a removable element. When the element breaks, the unit is trash. See if you can remove the element. If you can and the new one looks the same, you should be fine. Otherwise, you can always return the new element. Hope this helps.

This was not an exact replacement part. My original one had a screw for attaching the ground. I drilled a hole to make one.

It did not work when I first installed it. I called Masterbuilt and they said that their branded replacements include new connectors since they are often damaged when the rods die.

I went to HomeDepot and bought some crimp connectors and replaced the connectors on the leads. Then it worked fine.

Note you really need to outgas these things. I left mine running for at least an hour to get it to burn off all of the oils. Nasty smelling. But after that, it seems fine.

Seems to heat OK, But have only used it twice since repairing.

This works very well and installation was fairly easy. It was a little difficult to work the prongs through the chassis of the smoker. IDK if they are longer than OEM...? As others have stated, there isn't a hole in the middle of the mount for the ground wire. I just stuck the little loop of the ground wire over one of the mounting bolts. It was a perfect fit and is nice and secure. The heating element seems to be very even heat based on the even cooking. I think I have already used it more times than the original Masterbuilt element that shorted out after not much use. I will update my review if it fails or stops performing as well. I smoke about once a week, so assume it is getting plenty of regular use from this point on. Review left 3/18/2019

My electric smoker was constantly tripping the breaker, I installed this today solved the problem right away. Did not have to drill any holes for ground just attached the ground to one of the screw nuts while attaching the new element as the directions stated. Pretty easy install took me about 30 minutes total and I was back up and running with no issues having the breaker tripping all day use today.

I saved a lot of money and replaced the element, it does take a little time but if you can turn a screwdriver and operate a ratchet, then you can have a working smoker again and spend what you save on the food you’ll be smoking

I purchased this new element because my Master-built smoker was tripping the GFI when in use. The replacement element installed perfectly, but it does not get as hot as the original. Both elements are supposed to be 800W. I did not test the power consumption of the new element, but have used the smoker twice since the replacement and the smoker struggled to maintain 245 degrees F. This is abnormal for the previous performance of the smoker. I think this unit will work for my needs, but smoking in sub freezing temperatures like I did on occasion with the original element will probably be out of the question.

I will update the review if any new information develops.

I have a Masterbuilt 30" smoker. I went to use the smoker one day after about a year of ownership. The only thing it would do is trip my breaker where it was plugged in to. I researched the issue and found that Masterbuilt has issues with their heating element. My thought was, I can spend a couple of hundred dollars and go buy a meat smoker one OR buy this as a suitable substitute replacement heating element. I bought this replacement element. I installed it. It wasn't the easiest thing to install but with the unit un-plugged, most anyone can figure it out using the instructions that came with the element. When I got it all put back together, I plugged it back in and turned it on. The breaker did not trip. My smoker heated right up to the maximum temp. I had it on for many hours as a test. I had NO issues or failures or breaker tripping during this time. I now have my smoker back and can smoke meats just as designed. I Highly recommend this product if your Masterbuilt 30" smoker no longer heats.

I ordered this element to replace the one in our Masterbuilt smoker. The part number for our smoker was listed in the ad, indicating this was a direct replacement. That was not the case. Our element had a ground wire attached to it via a nut and bolt. This replacement element did not have the required hole drilled in it to attach the ground wire via the nut and bolt. So I had to drill the additional hole in the new heating element mounting plate. Not a show stopper but a little more work than I expected, for a direct replacement part. Our smoker is up and smoking again so the extra effort was worth it, though next time I'll just call Masterbuilt and get the correct part.
