The REELdiculous "Smoker” is the most advanced and effective angling jig in existence. The concept of this flat-fall style is simple. It’s meant to be dropped to the ocean's floor and reeled back up 30 feet or so, then dropped again, and again to create the appearance of struggling prey. The "Smoker” can also be cast and free fall to the bottom, just waiting to be attacked. This jig is center balanced and falls with a wobbling action in a horizontal position. The hydrodynamic design results in a slower fall which allows the jig to work the entire water column while enabling a much larger strike zone. The "Smoker” weights are from 100 grams to 350 grams to handle any current or depth.

Answer: The 150 gr. (5.4 oz.) Is a standard starting point.

Answer: Depends what type of fish are you targeting, the depth and the current (tide movement). You should not use heavier jigs than you really need to reach your target zone.

Answer: Not sure, but they are good quality.

Dumb question but how do you fish these?

Answer: Cast, let sink to desired depth, wind. Freespool and let sink to desired depth, wind...repeat. This is an action bite, the lure slowly glides as it sinks. You can get a bit on the the way down, or retrieve. I have caught yellowtail, yellowfin and even calico on these. match the grams to your line and what you're fishing for.

Answer: attach it to your fishing line, cast it out and let it fall to the depth your fishing at

Answer: I would cast it out and let it sink until 1/4 of line was left on my spool. If I did not get hit on the sink I would do a slow retrieve up. I noticed a fast retrieve would make the jig move too erractic versus a slow retrieve that would produce a nice kick similiar to a surface iron except your moving up the water column. I started getting hit more on the retrieve than the sink. Depending what reel you are using you can dial in how fast to turn the handle by how the flat fall jig behaves closer to the surface where you can see it. Hope this helps and tight lines.

Answer: Not sure but they are large hooks

Answer: They are not made for trolling. Made for dropping straight down.

Answer: I don't recall, I tent to replace all of the hooks anyway.

Answer: I ordered the assortment - you specify the weight at the time of order, and you receive 6 different colors in the same weight. I ordered one set @100g and another at 220g. Although, looking at the item I don't see an option anymore to select the weight... might want to contact the seller.

Answer: You choose the weight you want. All jigs in 6-pack are that same weight.

Answer: I would say no ,they are designed to to get bottom fish .and that they do!!!

Answer: It will if you drop it in the right area near the fish

Answer: U can replace hooks Jst,get right size prob like a 1ot. I would prob use braid w them.

What size and color would be recommended for california rockfish in 200-300 ft water?

Answer: When these lures first came out several years ago, I fished in that depth water and had 3 or 4 different color schemes.

Answer: Last year I used the blue mackerel and also the chartreuse in 100g. Casting at an angle, let it flutter to the bottom, hit bottom, reel in the fish, rinse, and repeat. Almost every time I was hitting the bottom on those to colors I was getting a bite. Hope this helps.

I just got these for an overnight party boat trip to Mexico. They had been targeting bluefin, so I wanted some of the bigger jigs. I ordered the 6 pack of 220 gr Smokers. Not only were they shipped promptly, but packaged very well. Having used Flat Fall Jigs in the past I knew the effectiveness in which they work. However, I am always skeptical about "knock off" products. But due to their popularity, they are sold out around me, and I had seen these on Amazon. Well I am extremely pleased in this product. There is nothing on these jigs that would make you think these were knock offs. The Paintjobs are beautiful and the hooks are all super sharp and rigged as well as I would expect from any of the well known companies. We put one over a ring and looped a rope thru the eyelet. 2 of us and gave it a good 200lb pull and nothing even acted like it might fail. While I wasn't able to use them on the trip, as our boat went for a YellowFin bite that had picked back up. And the smaller flatfalls were the ticket for those. I have another Blue fin trip booked for a year from now, and these will be the only 6 jigs I'll be bringing. After showing them to a few of the other more seasoned anglers on board, several of them wanted the info on where to order. You save over $50 buying the six pack compared to buying the 6 pack of the name brand, and these are at least and equal product. I already have another 6 pack of the 100 gr Smoker Flat falls and the 100 gr Slammer vertical/casting jogs on the way. Those will be in the water next weekend when I take the kayak out to the kelp beds off SoCal. NO JOKE, This is the best deal going for a set of lures, in the top tier quality range. I paid full price, for this product, and was not compensated for my review.

As a Pro-Staffer for a major West Coast line manufacturer, I get to do a lot of fishing! I was in a bind for an upcoming Bluefin Tuna trip. The Bluefin were killing the Chartreuse flat fall jigs, and there were none of the (major manufacturer) jigs to be found anywhere. Amazon to the rescue! I took a chance on these and boy did it pay off! 2 of the anglers on my trip received these as a raffle prize, and I kept one for myself. Let me tell you that the 2 anglers and myself were on fire compared to the other anglers using 'other guys' flat falls. (I felt bad and handed several off to the less fortunate) These jigs both looked and felt superior, but the proof was in the performance. I can't say enough good things...they are well built, reasonably priced, and they obviously work! Don't think you have to settle for the famous name brand....Reeldiculous WILL be a major brand someday, get some NOW! I did, and it's Bluefin dinner tonight!

The iron arrived on time and in good shape. The casting was easy and lure motion in the water excellent. One tip: in addition to yellow tail we had a lot of Barracuda striking the jig. Adding a 4” or 6” steel leader rather than tying to fluorocarbon will minimize loss from abrasions on the line.

Works well, although we only pulled in Bluefin on live bait. I tried this with no luck, but should work just fine for yellowfin and yellowtail action bites. I’ll need to go check on rust after it had been in the saltwater, but pleased with the quality so far.

I have been fishing with this jig for about 2 months in Florida and I have had excellent results so far. It is slowly becoming my go to lure. What impresses me the most is the quality of the entire jig. This was not made cheaply. The company went to great lengths to ensure a top quality jig and combined it with top notch hooks, which is always very important. I will be buying some more fishing gear from Reeldiculous Fishing in the very near future. I'm thinking these could make some great stocking stuffers at Christmas for some anglers in my family. Again, the over all quality and performance is spot on, I would highly recommend trying this one out!
