Answer: I've used silver/black at night and silver/blue or yellow/white during the day all around New England. These tend to work better later in the season when the water is warmer.

Answer: Hope you got an answer by now, just cleaning my in box and saw the message. The standard Saltwater HD is 6" and has 3 strong hooks, suggest you sharpen them, and troll just above the fish at 1.6 to 1.9 mph, works well on stripers in clear cold water. Good Luck!

Answer: Yuppers. I thought the side to side action or vibration would be more. But maybe not since it's so long. In general though I'm very happy with the lure. This picture of the red white one doesn't show it, but it has some clear the silver shine though. It's not flat opaque white is what I'm saying. In general I'm happy with it. And for the price! I picked up a few of these. My plan is for Pike in MN with them. All the Best, happy fishing.

I use these salmon fishing. The fish love them but they take a toll on the lures. Best advice put a good ball bearing swivel a couple feet up the line and use a quality snap swivel/ball bearing combo in front of the bomber. You will still straighten a split or hook every once in awhile but well worth it. I have changed out the hooks and split rings on many of the lures and that has helped as well.

Dr. Audet : A Staple for Every New England Striper Fisherman

Caught plenty of stripers on this lure this season for me, in 2 months, including a solid 20lber. Lots of smaller fish too. I'm not that salty, yet, but there is a very famous 58lber that was caught on this lure in Rhode Island. It works incredibly well, and like all bomber lures, it's relatively cheap, and seriously tough. A no brainier. I like the 6" better than the larger magnum.

I bought this for a recent saltwater trip to Honduras, but am used to freshwater fishing so I was surprised at how big it was. A few locals said fishing had been slow for the season, so keep that in mind when I say I didn't catch anything with it, however I did get follows from tarpon and a big barracuda. So I may not have caught any fish, but at least I have a beast of a lure to intimidate my freshwater fishing buddies with.

Black and Chartreuse color are my favorite color for night fishing. Bomber Saltwater Grade Heavy Duty does not disappoint when it hooks the fish. With Bomber lure you have to work a little hard for it to look like a real bait.

Absolute junk disposable lure!!! I purposely purchased the heavier duty saltwater version because the hooks are a lot stronger. Well I guess I should have bought one with cheap hooks. At least if the hooks straightened out I could have replaced them. I caught one Musky with this lure and it stretched out one of the eyelets in the joint that holds it together. Come on how cheap is this thing made? I’m only using 50# PowerPro braided line so how is it possible a steel eyelet can almost straighten out and my 50# line doesn’t break? I will tell you how that’s possible. It’s only possible when you use bottom of the barrel cheapass Chinese tripled recycled steel!!!
