Hagane Gear With amazing strength and durability, the Hagane Gear is at the very heart of the reel. No cutting work is applied to the teeth of the drive gear. Instead the entire surface is calculated in minute detail by special 3D design and then formed by Shimano's cold forging technology. The result is assured resilience.	X-Ship X-Ship provides improved gear durability. By supporting the pinion gear on both ends with bearings, the pinion gear maintains precise alignment with the drive gear. This means the gears will stay in the same position under the heaviest loads. The added benefit is that friction between the spool shaft and gear are eliminated. This will enhance the casting performance of the reel with lighter lures and allow for longer casts.	Hagane Body The Hagane Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. Answer: Japan

what is differen between made of japan and made of malaysia?

Answer: I have reels from both Malaysia and Japan from Shimano and their is no noticeable difference in build quality and performance. The Exsence while may be more costly than some but it a amazing reel...

Answer: I was told, you can’t warranty work done in US for the Japan version.

Is this reel same with Shimano 17 exsence 4000m xg 4669363037527.?.

What do the letters MHG stand for?

Answer: I believe it has to do with the gear ratios. The MHG is a lower gear than the MXG. I have both the 4000MXG and the C3000MHG. The C3000 is a 6.0 gear ratio and the 4000MXG is a 6.2 gear ratio. Both are awesome reels. Hope this helps

This real is super light and super comfortable and can be fished all day long without discomfort. My only complaint is I wish it could hold a little bit more line.

I currently own 4 Exsense reels. 3 4000s and 1 C3000. All of them are paired with NRX rods. Hands down they are the best reels ive ever owned. Super smooth and the drags are just amazing. They handle light braid really well. All my line issues went away after purchasing these. No more knots and loops. ....it spools the line up really nice and casts extremely smooth. Cant recommend enough. $550 is a lot to spend....but itll last you for years to come. A great cheaper option is the Stradic Ci4+. Another great reel.....just not as smooth. Would purchase either again in a second. Lifes short....treat yourself.
