What is the best speed for this lure?

Answer: Depends on what you are fishing for and how itnis rigged. Some people slow troll 3-6 knots with hook in the bottom, other rig for kytes and skip the surface. Standard trolling speed is good at 5-6 knots. Hope that helps some. Thanks

It's it good for freshwater fishing?

Answer: I dont think this would do well in freshwater - maybe for musky or big striped bass or something but i dont think many people have ever tried in freshwater. It is pretty big for that.
