Answer: My calipers read 2 mil on the clear, non-textured side (2 thousandths of an inch). The textured side is 5.5 mil.

Answer: I would assume so. I have a Kenmore product. They work pretty much the same way.

Will these work with older non-vacuum seal meal units? I find that vacuum units don't work well with soups and other foods with liquids.
Answer: The secret to vac packing liquids is to put them in the bag. Fold over the open top and keep it secure with a bag clip, then put in into the freezer for several hours until the liquid freezes. Then just vacuum seal it and no problems. To use, thaw overnight in the fridge, then put the contents into a Tupperware type bowl and microwave. Easy and effective. This is what I have been doing for years with success.

Answer: The same as far as I can tell. I have no issues at all with these. We store a lot of food so feel good about saving money while doing it. Can't tell the difference. Food comes out of freezer just as fresh as the name brand. I did find that it seems easier to turn the smooth side up when sealing. Hope that helps.

This is a great value only issue is towards the end of the roll the plastic gets wrinkled and then I don’t know how but ends up having like a scratch so it doesn’t seal all the ya through and opens up, so then I have to toss out that piece and sometimes along with more. But over all for this price it’s great. I think it’s my 4 time ordering

I've only worked partway through my first roll, but so far I'm getting a strong suction and seal. The first length of the roll was a fail (may have had small puncture somewhere), but the rest has worked every bit as well as the more $ FoodSaver rolls I'd been buying and the seal seems to be lasting.

I only gave 4 stars because there is no markings at all on the bag to help with cutting bags the same length. I was freezing bags of chicken and so I wanted several bags the same length. Had to get a ruler out so I didn't waste bag length. Not a huge deal but no super convenient either,

These vacuum bags are brtter than the original Foodsaver bags, not to mentio a lot less expensive. 100' of bag for less than you get for 40' of the others. I tried the WalMart brand of vacuum bags, while less expensive than originals, they just didn't seal well. Always got folds in the seals and wouldn't keep a seal. These bags are less expensive and perform excellent. They hold a seal and my maxhine has no issue pulling out the air. I don't have any issue with moisture wicking with these. With other bags when I vacuum seal hamburger or chicken moisture would always wick to the sealing are and cause me to have to wipe and double seal, usually losing some of the vaxuum. No issue like that with these.
If you do a lot if vacuum sealing you definately want to buy these bags. They are 100% effective and well woth every penny!

We hunt, fish and crab through the seasons of the year here and stock up the freezer. These rolls are a less expensive alternative to the name brand. They work as well keeping our food fresh in the freezer. They do not have the white label line but writing on the material with a Sharpie works just as well.

I have a newer version vacuum sealer (2016) that seals 20 year old foodsaver bags without an issue, these will not stay sealed. verified it is not the vacuum sealer by testing with brand name bags and not having an issue. really disappointing to find a steak thats been in a 130 degree sousvide bath has been completely waterlogged because of the quality of these bags. im going back to buying actual brand name bags.

I LOVE these vacuum bags! I've been using them for awhile now and experienced no problems with them. I like them far better than the well known brand of FoodSaver bags that cost much more (and you get far less bags). I especially love that I can drop my sealed frozen foods/leftovers in these bags into simmering water to reheat them. I got fast delivery too. I will definitely continue buying these vacuum bags!

the rolls are very large, they last a long time. The thickness of the material is much thicker than the other "non brand" rolls. I never had an issue with sealing or leaking.

Received promptly and in good condition. I love the ability to make the size I want, and have less waste. Also in the event of an emergency I pull out a couple of bags that I have already sealed an end, and I have a remedy made water bag.

I had purchased from a different vendor which only sold in 50' rolls so I would have to divide in half myself so I can store the roll in the sealer.

I use my sealer in bulk. I have purchase numerous brands of sealer rolls and these are useless. I sealed over 60 packages and every one has opened... EVERY ONE!!! Bought new rolls from another brand and I'm back in business so, NO, it wasn't my sealer.

The bags made with these rolls leak air and do not fully evacuate all air. Some seem to hold air, but when I put them in warm water to defrost the food, the bags leak fluids and water enters the sealed bags. This never happens with the official foodsaver bags. The plastic is thinner and they have excess wrinkles that let the air out and water in. I spent a lot of money on these and will be throwing them out. Absolutely worthless.

First off, I am not using a knock off vacuum sealing machine. I have used foodsaver rolls in the past and decided to save some money so I bought these. The quality difference in the vacuum is so notable, and not in a good way. There are other non name brand rolls that work better as well. I threw this whole pack in the garbage because they simply cannot pull a decent vacuum. I tried to portion out some chicken breasts and ground beef, after vacuuming there is still a bunch of air pockets - which will lead to freezer burn. Other products work fine and vacuum just fine. Don't waste your time or money on these.

The reason I rated three stars is because "it's okay". This means the product I received looks okay but was labeled 8" x 25' x 4 rolls and actually measured 11" x 25'. I am assuming 25' per roll because I did not open the package in order to return it to order a different brand that actually measures 8" x 25'.
I found no other way to inform the suppliers of this product that it was labeled wrong. Therefore this review. Who knows if they'll read it???

Amazon Customer : Nice paper and heavy duty
Great quality paper I used it for my own groceries to storage on the freezer I used it this week and I am glad cause I was able to pack with the vacumm seal and also the regular seal
Abrat : Airtight Seal
The rolls are fine. Maybe a little thin, but they work. When using with the Food Saver machine, at least mine, you have to have the smooth side up in order to seal them. The ridged side won't. Other than that they work as you'd expect.
Caution!!!! When opening the box DO NOT go deep across the top of the box to open. There is NO cushioning between the top of the box and the rolls. I slit mine and was surprised there was nothing protecting them. They have the air bags on the side is all.

MJC : Worked with my old FoodSaver
I've only worked partway through my first roll, but so far I'm getting a strong suction and seal. The first length of the roll was a fail (may have had small puncture somewhere), but the rest has worked every bit as well as the more $ FoodSaver rolls I'd been buying and the seal seems to be lasting.

Toron : Great value
The only negative is that roll is slightly too big to fit in sealer until about 10' is used. Not that big a deal.
