product description
Whopper Plopper 90 /130 is the little brother of our larger versions; but don't let its little package fool you, this bait has a serious little man's complex. Built with the same durable construction as the rest of the line with Xtra Strong components including hook hangers, wires, and X-Strong size 4 treble hooks. This smaller version is made tough to battle bigger foes.
While his big brothers rely on powerful chops of their tail to attract strikes, the Whopper Plopper 90 relies more on quickness, with a unique sound more reminiscent of a buzz saw, Whopper Plopper 90 is tailor made for topwater fishing in high pressure situations and when the forage base is smaller.

Questions about River2Sea Whopper Plopper 130
Q:
when you buy it, does it come with the treble hooks?
Answer: Yes, 2 very sharp, very strong hooks.
Answer: Yes it does
Answer: Yes they do very sharp too
Answer: yes
Q:
What color works the best for largemouth bass?
Answer: Can't go wrong with black or bone. I've caught bass on all the colors. My favorite top water bait. Definitely buy at least one. Good luck, tight lines!
Answer: It depends. I normally use yellowhead on overcast days and powder any other time. I use the perch color for lakes that conain a good number of perch. I would say powder and yellowhead would be good starting colors.
Answer: Black with white specks and natural bait colors
Answer: I use the Chubby, worked great for me in the shallows during late Spring and Summer. I want the Black Loon with Chartruse
Answer: I Know it and loon. I use some of the crazy saltwater colors to mix it up after I change out the hooks
Answer: Bone
Q:
Is it just 1 lure that comes?
Answer: yes, one big lure (130)
Answer: Yes
Answer: Yes
Answer: Yes it is
Answer: Yes.
Q:
Is this good for saltwater
Answer: I would think some of the colors are working fine for salt water, as I am selling them to several states that border on the ocean. Thank you for your question
Answer: No
Answer: Yes for both
Q:
Are these rigged with 2/0 hooks?
Answer: yes
Q:
what three sizes does the whopper plopped come in ?
Answer: The Whopper Plopper comes in 4 sizes currently - the 90, 110, 130 and 190. There are also silent versions of the Whopper Ploppers.
Answer: It actually comes in 4 sizes. The smallest is the 90 (3.5 inches), then the 110 (4 3/8 inches), then the 130 (5 inches) then the 190 (7.5 inches) which is more for musky. Hope this helps!
Answer: It comes in 90, 110, 130 and not sure, it maybe available in a 190 size also. Hope this helps. Thanks!
Answer: We stock sizes 90, 110, and 130
Answer: It’s comes in four actually , a 90, 110, 130 and a 190
Answer: sizes 90, 130 and 190. The 130's are 5 inches long and the weight is 1 3/8 ounces and the 190's are a bit larger. The 130's are GREAT for bass and I have a few 190's for Tiger muskies.
Answer: I prefer the 3 1/2 in size. Larger sizes are only salt water.
Q:
What is the length of this?
Answer: 6.25”
Answer: 5”
Q:
does anyone know what brand treble hook they use on the 130 whopper plopper
Answer: River2Sea make their own hooks for the Whopper Plopper
Answer: Not sure but they are strong, sharp and catch fish. Good product.
Q:
Does this come with the "updated" hooks (star decal on box stating better hooks) or is this the first version?
Answer: My stock have the new hooks.
Answer: I’m not sure which version of hooks the one I purchased has but the lure catches fish like crazy. Best lure I ever purchased on line for catching fish regardless of hook version.
Answer: The ones I order did and what a difference they made...
Q:
Whay size hook should i get for it?
Q:
Does this bait have rattles in it? ....i don't want the slient one
Answer: The 130 Loon color does have a rattle
Answer: No rattles in it, but it doesn't need any. This thing makes a huge commotion for top water and is a fish catching machine. Highly recommend buying multiple!
Answer: No . Due to the design it doesn't need rattles.
Answer: no dont need it .... its very load coming across the water
Q:
What is a good color for rock fish
Answer: It’s more of a reaction strike so color isn’t necessarily a matter unless it has to do with visibility. The size however does matter as I see more blow ups on the 90 size vs my 130 sizes.
Q:
Does this come with the upgraded hooks (has decal on box saying better hooks) or is this the first version?
Answer: Hooks are awesome don't need no upgrade.
Q:
Does this come in red
Answer: There is a craw color
Q:
What retrieval method should you use?
Answer: I try two different types. Steady retrieve or pause 5 seconds then retrieve, pause etc. both are effective.
Answer: I use a slow retrieve and alternate between steady and stopping. Most of my hits occurr when the lure hits the water, so I give it a couple seconds to sit before I start the retrieve.
Answer: Several retrial methods can be used. After casting the lure floats. After letting the water settle: direct retrieve (judge the retrieval speed by sound-you'll hear it like buzz baits-they have a sweet spot. Second method I use is a retrieve / pause. Many bass will hit just as it starts up again. Lastly, you can start retrieve with a pop in between (I don't like this as much as my brother..and yes he catches more than I..occationally. Have fun GREAT BAIT.
Answer: You can just straight retrieve it. You can do stop and go. Twitch it. Use your imagination. The only thing you can't do is walk the dog like a zara spook.
Answer: You can straight retrieve or change speeds while retrieving
Answer: When it hits the water, let it sit for a few moments. I have had a number of hits a second or two after it touches the water. I will then slowly reel across the top. You can stop every so often. As the same with any lure, you will find what works and is most comfortable for you. Best of luck
Answer: Depends what the fish are wanting, burn it fast, run it slow reel and pause ect.
Q:
Do you have 190 in monkey butt
Answer: NO I have bone, perch, loon, bee gee, and red horse in 190
Q:
Does this come with hooks on it and its made for bass right
Answer: Yes this does come with treble hooks. This is the best topwater bait for both largemouth and smallmouth bass.
Answer: Yes, very good hooks I might add, Mustad. It is produced for bass. This brand and especially the whopper plopper is my go too lure, always produces, normally sizeable to trophy bass. Also check out the double plopper. Good luck.
Answer: my had hooks yes it for bass
Answer: Yes it has hooks. It's an excellent big bass lure.

Amazon Customer : Bass catcher!
Whopper Plopper is such a good too water bait! The first day I used my plopper I caught 8 largemouth within a half mile if shoreline. I was just bringing it over rock in shallow water. Even thought I lost it once because a bass took it under in-between rocks and broke my line but good thing is it floated right back to the top and I retrieved it easily. If you fish tournaments this is worth every penny. Even if you just pleasure fish it's worth the good times.
Jonathan : It’s a whopper plopper so Obviously it’s Awesome.
Nothing much to say except the obvious here. It’s a well working whopper plopper that catches the fish like no other topwater bait out there. If they are biting too water then this is almost guaranteed to catch fish and even when they are not eating topwater baits this thing still will produce some BIG BITES. Works wonderful.
Tim Rosene : So many fish with one lure!
I use this in a pond and have had such tremendous results with it!
Jareth : 10/10

Howard : Fish on

J : Outstanding!
These are simply the best! Great reliable and sturdy product. You can't go wrong with this. Just be careful not to trow one high up in a tree! I have not yet but have seen some. They cast so far it is easy to over cast them toward the bank and end up throwing it high into a tree. These big hooks are going to hold. That lure will stay there if unreachable by some type of retrieval pole or being able to climb the tree to to get it!
Luck : Cool lure
It plops. Haven’t caught anything yet but great lure. Exactly as described.
MJ-54 : Run true in the water
