Answer: The gear ratios for the high and low gear on the SLX-50WII are 3.1:1 and 1.3:1

How many “feet” of 65-80 pound braid will this hold. Looking for 1,500 -2000 feet

Answer: I don't know but I wouldn't use anything over 50 lb. braid!!

Whats the line capacity

Answer: That will be the size of the line I put on 250 yards of 200 lb 4 stran if it's smaller a lot more this is a big reel will hold a lot if fishing for black cod at 1000 feet with 80 lb 2 stran about 2000 feet or more

Answer: The SLX reels come equipped with a reel clamp assembly which includes all the hardware.

Answer: Yes it did. I probably own 10 lever drags & this is one of my favorites! One great feature is that when you push the lever to increase the drag it does not increase the cranking power necessary for cranking the reel on retrieve! Great reel for the money!!

Answer: Not sure on the max drag for the SLX 50. I have been using the SLX30 and have had no Issues pulling up 50 -100 pound halibut. They are very smooth and hold up without any issues. Hope this helps

Answer: The SLX has a drag rating of 32lbs at strike and 40lbs . at full.

Answer: We set strike drag at 10 lbs. Full drag with this setting is approximately 20 lbs. I think the max drag is in the 40's lbs. Just sent one of the 50wII back for repair under warranty. Reel would not engage the next day after catching 150 lb bigeye tuna. Turn around time 7 days for reel repair. Hard to get in touch of okuma for repair. Best results is to go online and set up an account and submit a ticket. About 3 days for okuma to answer the ticket via email providing a Return Authorization number.
