Product reviews of Best Choice Products BBQ Grill Charcoal Barbecue Patio Backyard Home Meat Cooker Smoker
shawna kadric : As pictured
Easy to set up, decent quality, plenty of room for food.
Amanda : Grill
Loved this grill my dad loved his birthday present. We still use it every time we bbq.
Tyler Sutherland : One Star
Really small not built well really thin metal
Guess who : Worst grill I've ever seen
Terrible quality, this thing is thin as paper. I don't even think it can withstand the heat of fire. The lids don't close all the way and to be honest it's a real disappointment i have never regretted any purchase more than this just think about the quality of $5 wish products. That's what this is like.
Amazon Customer : Good value for the price
Home use. Smaller than I thought.
Bloo : Top doesn't stay down
Worst grill I gave ever purchased. Neither of the 2 tops stay down which makes it impossible to smoke anything.
Rob B : Four Stars

Sara Ellis : Affordable entry level smoker
I received this grill directly from the manufacturer at no cost for evaluation, and here are my thoughts.
This is a pretty good entry level charcoal smoker grill. Made of cast iron with a rust resistant steel frame, it's designed like a smaller (and far less expensive) version of an Oklahoma Joe, with the horizontal barrel grill offset to the fire box, a vent on the fire box and a damper on the stack for heat control.
My daughter and I assembled it, but we had some difficulty getting the lid to the larger grill to fit just right, and with tightening the frame enough, so we called the seller for help. We received a few helpful tips that got everything working the way it should and the seller is revising the instructions to include the tips. If you follow the instructions and the following tips, you should be able to have the grill assembled in an hour or so. Here they are:
The Lid: The hinges on the lid need to be adjusted with one side tightly secured to the grill body and the other side of the loosely secured to the interior of the lid. Allow for some give on the hinge attached to the lid for the lid to properly close. A slight gap is expected because of how the metal is bent into its shape.
The Frame: First, make sure the wheels are to the right of the grill when facing it. You will need to tighten the wheels to stabilize the grill. You can do so by securing one wheel and tightening the other. Without securing one of the wheels, they will just spin.
We smoked some spare ribs on it at about 225 degrees for roughly 3 1/2 hours, and they were delicious. The smaller round box is where you put your charcoal and wood chips. Open the side vents up all the way when you first start it so it gets a hot fire going and let it burn until the flames die and you have hot coals and ash. Now that your fire's burned down to the coal stage you can add your wood chips and close that side vent almost all the way, but not all the way or your fire will die out. We usually soak our wood chips in water overnight then wrap them in a foil packet and lay them in the coals after the fire's died down. You can control the amount of heat going through the grill by regulating the side vent and also by how open or closed you keep the damper on the stack.
Check the thermometer on top of the long horizontal grill, and when it's running between 225 to 300 degrees you're ready to put your food in and begin smoking. Anything higher than 300 starts to grill the food instead of smoke it, so be sure to monitor the temperature, especially if you add more fuel to the fire box. Don't forget to add a small pan of water to the grill section to keep things moist while you're smoking. If it's windy outside you'll get more draft and might need to add more wood or charcoal, and if it's cold or snowy out it's going to take longer for the food to smoke, so bear in mind that weather conditions have an effect on how well the smoker operates. Overall, this is a nice entry level smoker that gets the job done at an affordable price.
Rosalie Patty : Three Stars

Nicholas : Ok but missing parts
The grill looks good but everyone needs to check the contents of the box. My grill did not come with a grill grid for the inside of the grill. I need to purchase additional parts just to make my grill useable.

whitney bearden : Grill/ smoker
Doesnt seem to be good quality ,the instructions have a lot of typos one and it had extra nuts that was too small but it was missing a nut so we have to go buy one
Bjb : Great value
For the price, this grill is an incredible value. Not the easiest to assemble and the assembly instructions aren't great, but I did assemble outdoors in 90+ degree weather, so some of the problem falls on me. Started grilling straight away and smoked 2 tri tips that turned out amazing. I'm glad I bought it.

Rob B : Four Stars
Good grill
Paula G. : Not what I thought
Way smaller then shown. Very thin metal construction. Safe your money from something bigger and heavier.
Raymond Michael T Kosick : Decent for First-time Smokers
I've never smoked before, and so this is my first smoker - figured I'd get something relatively inexpensive for my first year or so. Construction was easy enough but like a few others have said the doors don't close securely enough to hold in the smoke. I ended up using bungee cords to hold the doors closed, which seems to work a lot better. Also, because smoke does seep through the cracks fairly easily I've found myself going through almost 9lbs of charcoal just to keep the temps around 200 (barely) for maybe 3-4 hours. All-in-all, this is probably decent to use for 6-months to a year but once I start getting better at smoking I'll definitely look at upgrading.
Ted A. Mcelroy : A surprisingly affordable Barecue grill and smoker that was not too hard to assemble.
It took me about 4 hours to unpack and assemble, which I did out on my covered patio on a warm spring day in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Other than a couple of small missing washers, all of the parts plus a few extra were provided. It went together following the printed instructions with simply a Phillips head screw driver and a small 3/8" socket set with a couple of sockets. Having an awl punch to line up some of the holes helped. I did have to warp the smoker half cover by hand slightly to get it to close properly with no big air gaps. I may invest in some fireproof sealing tape once I fire it up if too much smoke is leaking. I will experiment with it this weekend with a rack of spare ribs I bought on sale for $1.99/pound, along with some Head County dry rub. I also purchased some bags of Hickory and Mesquite chips as well as a Weber fire chimney and fire starter. I have plenty of Kingsford Charcoal. I will report back after the first couple of trials. It is quite thin gauge sheet metal, so some fireproof black spray paint may be required after using. Update on first use on March 10, 2017, it worked well on a rack of spar ribs but I had to fill the small smoker twice with fresh charcoal coals and water soaked hickory chips to achieve a full 6 hours of smoking time and it was difficult to hold 240 degrees and kept dropping down to 225 and lower, so I had to keep opening the dampers to get more heat which burned up the charcoal and wood chips faster. . .
Angela Edmondson : Waste of time and Money!
Product arrived as expected. Timely fashion and in good condition. That is all the good I can say about this grill. Unpacked the grill and instructions. Instructions are hard to follow (Still have not figured what Alex is), too many small parts, not enough hardware to properly assemble. No tools to assist with assembly or directions on what is needed. Guessing is best I guess. Almost needed a transfusion from handling the washers. Stamped out of thin metal with VERY sharp edges (Yes it will cut a Bi**H). The Grill itself is VERY small and has EXTREMELY THIN METAL. The paint is not baked on but looks to be a rattle can application (Probably commercially done) but if you rub it wrong, POOF gone! If you plan to smoke with this, plan on melting the grill. I can literally pick the entire thing up with one hand and not strain. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP... Purchased better from WalMart on clearance! K-Mart would be ashamed to sell this product! Never again... lesson learned!
Valerie Gaught : Not bad
I was nervous about buying this and getting something worthless .. but we have been using it for over almost two months now and it works good. We don’t use it but a couple of times a week, but For what we paid for it, I can’t complain. It’s a nice starter grill for sure. The photo is after we used it for a month so the wood has charcoal stains.

There should have been a heads up on the process for putting this together, it had hundres of small nuts and bolts. It works but the quality is not what was expected.

The cover on the grill (large, rounded, hinged cover) does not "seat" well and the grill/smoker does not get sufficiently warm. I would not buy this again!
Customer : Missing offset smoker
Gave this as a gift and was not opened until a year later. Missing the offset piece completely. Need better and clearer product description.
