Delivering incredible casting performance for a wide range of bass fishing applications, the Tatula CT features Daiwa’s cutting-edge TWS T-Wing System, which solves one of the age-old problems with baitcasting reel levelwind systems. It reduces the normally steep angles and friction that slow line flowing through a narrow line guide on casts. The wide top section of the T-wing allows line to freely during casting, and when the reel is engaged on the retrieve the line is funneled into the narrow lower channel of the T-wing for even distribution across the spool width.

Is this the 2016 CT model and not the older version? Also why is the picture a right hand reel when it is listed as left hand?

Answer: Yes this is the newest model , the Tatula CT is TACT HSL just make sure when you order L is the last letter in the model number , as for the picture I don't know why they picture a right hand but as long as the model number has the L that's what you will get , great reel by the way

Why does delivery take two weeks?

Are these only right hand retrieves or can I get the handed versions here?

LP : T-aperture too narrow when reeling

There is one thing that I do not like about this reel. I spliced 14 lb. test line using the thinest types of knots. None of them would pass through the T-aperture when reeling in, so a leader knot would not pass through to the spool when reeling in.

just me : Great reels for the price.

I fished with this reel over the past weekend and I was very happy with the way it handled. I spooled it up with 10 lb. Fluorocarbon and attached it to a 5'9" medium power graphite rod. I was able to cast a 6" weightless senko and a few other stick baits pretty far out from the bank. The reel is quiet on the cast and very smooth on the retrieve. To avoid backlashes, I did as Daiwa suggested and started with the brakes set at 20 and slowly backing them off until I had the maximum distance without any line fluff. I think I want more of these Tatulas in different speeds.
