The Custom Inshore SLP’s innovative fast starting forged, double anodized aluminum deep U style 32mm spool holds 140 yards of 12-pound monofilament. The new Lew’s combat grip pad on the thumb bar adds comfort and control to each and every cast. The Custom Inshore Speed Spool’s smoothness and durability come from its premium 10-bearing system with sealed corrosion resistant stainless steel ball bearings and Zero Reverse anti-reverse one-way clutch bearing. The reel has a one-piece aluminum frame with a strong, lightweight carbon handle sideplate with a graphite palming sideplate.

Is this left hand retrieve?

Answer: It said left-hand when I ordered the reel. I received a right-hand reel. I can use either, so was not a deal breaker. I really have been happy with the reel once I got beyond the handedness.

Answer: It's not. I found out the hard way, right before Christmas, with the wrong gift!

Can u get a single power handle for this reel

Answer: Yeah after market

Is this a 200 or 300 size reel?

Answer: It would be much closer to a 300 reel. The line capacity is good around 12lbs. You can apply heavier line for heavy cover or go with braided line to give you that distance casting for heavy cover.

Answer: I would say 200 size......I have five of these and I use them everyday........Great little reel with lots of drag power.

what is the model number for this reel. Is it the same as the reel on the slp inshore combo?

Answer: Ci1sh is right hand reel retrieve and ci1shl is left hand retrieve. I don’t know if it comes in a combo. I’ve only seen it by itself

Answer: That one went down while kayaking :( first one I ever lost and I couldn’t retrieve it :( it looks like the combo but again I can’t confirm.. Lews are the chit

how much 50 lb braid can you put on that baby?

Answer: I use p..line only 15 lb test.

Would this be good for dock shooting?

Answer: The reel will handle it, but the real question is what rod are you pairing it with, and what lure are you using? Figure the rod first, then the reel.

I need left hand retrieve Turn says left hand picture shows right hand can you please clarify

Answer: I ordered a left hand. Saw the picture was right hand, but ordered. It came with right hand retrieve. I kept it. A very nice reel with a great drag.

Can I use this for bass fishing?

Answer: Yes, this reel is ab excellent option for bass fishing.

Do you know what the max drag is on this reel?

Answer: I don’t’ know what the max drag is. But it has been a fantastic reel. The drag is extremely smooth.

Is this reel left hand retrieve?

Answer: If it has an l at the end of the name then yes. Don’t go by picture cause they are different sometimes instead look at model number

Is this reel braid ready meaning i dont have to use a mono backer to prevent line slippage because i plan on using 30lb power pro braid.

Answer: I threw 20lb braid on mine without a mono backer on it. I haven't had any slippage on the spool myself. I just made sure it was on tight and even, it's really an excellent reel.

Answer: If you don't like using backers.. just tie your knot as usual an put a wrap of electrical tape tightly around spool...Problem solved.. Braid won't slip on spool..

Is this made in the usa? if not where?

Answer: My two reels say made in Korea on the box

Answer: Mine is left hand crank. Which is preferable fishing lures even though I’m right handed. I cast right handed and crank spinning reels right handed. Having a baitcasters with left hand crank means I can still cast right handed and I’m right on the crank without switching hand. I do believe you can get in right handed but you may have to reach out to distributors or Lewes.

Answer: Yes it is. Every reel can be used in salt water just have to rinse off after use. This is a solid reel.

I got this reel as a Christmas gift to myself. I have to say that I am very impressed with this reel. I am usually a Shimano guy but I couldn't pass up this deal. I strung 20 pound braid and paired it to a Favorite Fishing rod. The first time I took this combo out I was surprised. I didn't even adjust the reel and it cast perfectly. I changed lures and cast again, no problem. I changed again to a free shrimp rig. I did have to adjust the brake to get such a light bait out but I still have yet to backlash this thing. It's amazing! I usually spend at least some of my time on the water untangling a birds nest but not with this baby. As far as landing fish I will say that the drag could be a bit more stout. Bigger fish will run a bit but they eventually make the net. In my opinion, this is a great reel and I would highly recommend it.

Super smooth and light, drags great(20lbs), cast super far with braid (fins wind tamer) love winn grips and love the little hook holder it comes with cause I use tandem rigs so having an extra hook holder comes in handy and the 7.5:1 gear ratio comes in handy for those super spooks

I like this reel and so far have caught a 28" Crevalle Jack and a 30" Redfish. However, the drag seemed to be a little jerky on those two fish. I will fish some more and come back and update this rating if I find the drag improves with use.
