Whats the size?

Answer: I use the 20 for bass fishing and the 10 for panfishing. Great drag and smooth quiet operation. Hope this helps

I'm interested in either the size 20 or 30 not sure which. I want to use it for 8 lb flourocarbon line on a 6'6" rod for dropshot fishing. Which size?

Answer: The primary difference between the two reels is line capacity. Both of the reels will handle exactly what you are wanting to fish for. The 20 is a little smaller and lighter but just as strong. If there is a chance down the road that you would like to a heavier line for drop shot fishing, the 30 line capacity may come into play. Just a thought. If you decide to use braided line and then tie a fluorocarbon leader on the end, (my method & recommendation) go with the 20, for a small reel, it is a beast. Hope this helps. Felt or carbon drag washers?

Does this have a magnetic bail or does it have a spring?

Answer: i think it has a bail spring but can't say for sure, I have not had it apart. it is a smooth operating reel and I have been very pleased with the purchase.

Answer: I think it's a spring, but never had a reason to look. The reel has worked great for the past 2 years

Is the size 20 good for bass, or should i get the 30?

Answer: I just got back from Lake Erie smallmouth fishing today. Caught about 20 quality 3 and 4# ers using the size 20. It performed great. You don't need a 30 to fish for big fish. I used mine a lot. Love it. The 30 is too big and heavy. I'd say the 30 would wear u out when u fish all day like I do.

Answer: The 20 is great for fishing senko's wacky on 8 pound line. But all around the 30 covers a lot more needs.

Answer: Size is OK, but my reel has a corrosion problem. Would not buy another one.

Answer: 20 will be fine, but make sure to get the right size for the rod that you will be using also.

Several time since getting it a few weeks ago and I'm hooked! It's smooth casting and reeling. I've landed several large mouth bass and over 100 small stripers. It still works like the day I got it.

Had this reel a little over a month have used it 3 times just in a freshwater bream pond so nothing heavy at all on it and now its making a scrubbing noise and locking up when reeling and the return window for amazon closed about a week ago

Pretty sure I received a display reel.
It showed up in a envelope. No box, no paper work, no warranty registration info. Noisy, not smooth. I have held two of these reels and thought they were of good quality. Not the one I received. This is a seller issue, now I have to deal with the return. Will be sure the check seller info on future sporting goods purchases as they only have 76% satisfaction rates .
