The reel is composed of a rugged, lightweight graphite body and rotor with a double anodized aluminum spool accented with black and blue. It’s a blazing 6.2:1 gear ratio with a fold-down anodized aluminum handle with SoftTouch knob that can be used for right- or left-hand retrieve.

This is a very good reel for the price. I like it better than some of my expensive name brand models. I'll see how it holds up to my fishing habits. I've been fishing for more than 65 years all over the country and still going strong. I actually bought this reel because I was flying on a fishing trip and lost many before. I figured if I lost this one , thanks to the airlines, it would't be a big deal. Buying more, no kidding.
