Answer: 30ft long, I cut them in half as you get 2 prusset knots. My stands or 20 to 22 ft in the air. So you have to climb 10-12 ft then hook up. I like it a lot. These slide a lot better then others I’ve bought.

Answer: Sorry I can't give you an exact number, but one of my hang on stands is about 18' off the ground. The safety line is tied off above stand and it reaches the ground. My guess would be 25'. I hope that helps.

Answer: Measured with calipers it is a 10mm (3/8") line with a rating of 300lb working load.

Answer: Without being at home to get it out and measure it I'm thinking it's about 3/4 of an inch

This seems to do the job but the prusik rope needs constant attention when sliding up and down as it just doesn't bite unless you make it, it's almost too stiff.

The prusik knots are not done very well and had to be retied before I would use them. Luckily, they have an instruction attached to the provided rope.

Works almost as advertised, the issues I've had with this Safe-Line are: It has an expiration date and was manufactured over a year before I received it. The rope includes two prusik knots, however one of my prusik knots was defective with a major flaw in the length of rope used. It has the internal rope strands protruding out of the external casing. Muddy is one of the big names in tree stands so I had hoped for better. It could be dangerous if someone was to overlook this flaw..

I bought this just before the start of the season, so I was not willing to send it back and wait for a replacement. It has worked well for me using only one of the prusik knots and I feel the rope is of good quality. Next time I will buy a different brand with the "cowbell" feature for the same cost. You can make extra prusik knots at REI.

This is the first product of this kind I've ever used. I was amazed by how much safer it made me feel. It would have been an easy 5 star, but the prussic knots tend to come untied in between uses.

As I’ve gotten a little older, hopefully I’ve gotten a little smarter. I now have these safety climbing ropes on all my ladder stands that allow me to stay connected all the way up and down when I attach my safety vest to it. And at 50% off, this price makes it a no brainer! Everybody should use them! People fall and get seriously injured every year getting into and out of deer stands. Don’t be a statistic! At this price, you can’t afford not to protect yourself!

wvrktguy : DANGEROUS - I fell - It did not stop the fall

Use this at your own risk. I was coming out of a stand and slipped off a step and feel about 8 feet and these did not grab. Fortunately I didn't get hurt but it could have been bad. I noticed when I got it that the prusick knots seemed to be questionable given the material they are constructed out of. They are a very tightly woven line - almost like paracord and they do not adequately work to grab the line. You will notice that they slide way to freely. They do not generate enough friction to actually lock up like they are designed. When you are climbing up the tree with it on they will actually slide down. I figured that maybe with a sudden jerk from a fall they would actually seize up but that is definitely not the case. They will follow you right down the tree. How a company like Muddy is selling something like this is beyond me. They need pulled from the shelves immediately before someone gets killed.

Spend the money on a hunters safety system lifeline. The Knot slides ways to easy and I honestly don’t think it would catch you.

This is a welcomed add to my safety gear knowing I can trust this product makes my focus on the hunt instead of other avenues

Love this thing. Better to be safe than sorry. this thing will keep you safe from the ground, to your seat. Too many people fall transitioning from the ladder to the seat. Don't be a statistic. I'm a 28 year old experienced rock climber and I still use one of these every time i go up. Once is all it takes to ruin your weekend hunt or ruin your future.. Don't let it happen to you or anyone you hunt with.

Prusik knot slides down the rope on its own, so the knot is nearly even with my body as I climb or descend. Bought 3 of these muddy safe lines and after many attempts to use them in 2020 will not use again
