is this rod for baitcasting reels an spinning reels I was told you can switchout the reel seats

Answer: This is for spinning reels. Doesn't matter if you switch out the reel seats. The way you tell is by looking at the rings. The first one closest to your reel is the biggest and tapers down to the last eye. Baitcasting rods will have all the rings almost the same size

Answer: It’s a spinning rod only from my understanding; hence the do make a bait casting version as well. You could switch out the seat but not sure if that would be cost effective

Answer: You can use it for either. I use it with a spinning reel.

This rod is a great value. I use it paired with a Penn Slammer 3 4500 and it performs really well and has held up well for me in a variety of freshwater, inshore saltwater, and pier fishing applications. I'm going to buy another one for my next trip to the Gulf of Mexico.

I wanted to have a travel rod so it would fit better in my car’s trunk or in my backpack. Bought from amazon warehouse, good price, looks new and unused. The rod and the case are well made and seems to be of high quality, like many other Daiwa fishing products. Although 3 pieces, it feels as solid and responsive as one piece. It can fit comfortably in the car’s trunk. I can also carry it in my backpack for a hike. Tested at the beach and comfortably reeled in 2 hard fighting large sand bass without any trouble. This would be my go to rod, travel or local.

mitch : One of the best travel rods tested

I've caught stripers and reds, most recently a 23' red in Cedar Key and the rod has always performed well. It is a bit stiff and heavy compared to a one-piece and you do need to cast an appropriate weighted lure or bait, but this rod has no problems hauling in the keepers. I paired it with a 3000 size penn spinning reel. but anything from 2500-4000 would feel fine, 5000 if you need the muscle or line capacity. Quality, fit and finish are top-notch, I'd another if I ever needed to.
