is this rod for baitcasting reels an spinning reels I was told you can switchout the reel seats
Answer: This is for spinning reels. Doesn't matter if you switch out the reel seats. The way you tell is by looking at the rings. The first one closest to your reel is the biggest and tapers down to the last eye. Baitcasting rods will have all the rings almost the same size
Answer: It’s a spinning rod only from my understanding; hence the do make a bait casting version as well. You could switch out the seat but not sure if that would be cost effective
Answer: You can use it for either. I use it with a spinning reel.
Product reviews of Daiwa Ardito-Travel Rods black, 7'6"
pikey : Five Stars
fantastic pole
Mandy : Great travel rod
Great travel spinning rod. Shorter handle than expected. But still works great. I had to adjust a little. Now I like it very much. Paired it with a BG3000 and caught a bunch of stripers with it.
Richard Salisbury : After My Penn Battle III broke on third fish I put the reel on this pole.
The sensitivity between the Penn Battle III and this rod is night and day! I felt every pebble and strike with the Daiwa Ardito. My Penn broke on day one of a fishing trip, and I had this pole as a back-up. I sure wish I had bought two, and skipped buying the Penn rod.
George Adakis : Well Made
Have not used it but just by eyeing the quality this is superbly made. Well worth the money, the case is excellent. I will update the review after using the rod. Comes with a 5 year warranty which is hard to beat.
Stefano L. : Five Stars
Rod arrived well enveloped ! I'm satisfied
Gregory George Plutko : A portable tank, but not perfect
Firstly, the positives: 1) The case is fantastic and fits inside a medium or larger suitcase. 2) The rod is a tank. I drove over the thing by accident and suffered no more than an easily re-bent guide. 3) It is reasonably sensitive for the cost. 4) It can serve as an everyday rod, no problem. 5) It can cast lighter lures surprisingly well.
There are downsides though: 1) It is very tip-heavy and takes some muscle to heft all day. 2) The lure rating is a bit optimistic. I would say that the maximum weight it works well with is about 5/8-oz. It tends to launch 3/4-oz and 1-oz lures straight up into the air after a pretty impressively deep flex. 3) The handle is short, as might be expected for a travel rod, so it is not ideal for transferring back-energy to a strong-arm fish to the shore/boat.
BJP in Cincy : Perfect spinning rod
Love this rod and the fact that it came with a really nice travel case is a big plus. Highly recommend it
George : Great Rod with multiple range of fishing.
Great travel rod and case. Perfect Alaska rod for Salmon, Steel-head but maybe not big Kings.

Some day I’ll use it.

The case is perfect for protecting the rod.
craig : Light and really nice to use
Really nice rod, very light for the size and capability. Cast really well paired with my 3500 penn slammer.
