why can't you order this rod in a 6' 1 piece med heavy?

Answer: PERSONALLY, I WOULDN'T OWN A 6' TWO PIECE CHERRYWOOD ROD. THEY LACK THE "FEEL" OF A ONE PIECE. AS TO WHY YOU CAN'T GET THEIR ROD IN TWO PIECE, YOU'LL HAVE TO ASK THE MFGR.

Answer: I MAY NOT BE THE BEST PERSON TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION. I OWN 6 CHERYWOOD RODS LT WEIGHT. THEY ARE ALL ONE PIECE. I USE THEM TO CATCH CRAPPIE, 10" MINIMUM, LARGE SHELLCRACKERS, AND STOCKED TROUT 1-4 POUND RANGE. I HAVE THEM MATCHED WITH SHIMANO ULTRA LIGHT REELS. THEY DO NOT FAIL ME IN THIS ENDEAVOUR. TWO PIECE RODS LACK CONSISTANCY IMHO. HOPE THIS HELPS.

If you want a pole with strength of a medium, but the tip of a light pole. This is it. I have a pole $100 Penn pole and this is my go to freshwater pole.

My buddy recommend this pole to me. And for $20 bucks. I was like it's cheap and if it breaks o well. So I picked it up at my local sports store. Threw a okahuma reel with 8lb test. Took it out all last year and this year. Had no problems with it.

For the money it's a great poll. For the medium light action, it's awesome. For the great senstive tip, you can detect nibbles from small perch, and handle slams of big trouts and in between. Why spend to much money on a pole. I have shamino, Penn's, ugly sticks, Shakespeare and everything in between. But this is my go to fresh water pole.

Save the money and buy a good reel for under $50 and this pole and your set for fresh water fishing.

Broke on first fish. A lot of people had good reviews so I purchased. Didn’t go well for me but it may for you. I personally like ugly stick.

I love berkleys products and I see all these awesome reviews and have a friend that uses cherrywoods for everything including steelhead fishing but I can't keep one from breaking right at the 2nd eyes 1st time I accidentally stubbed it so I didn't think much returned it and got a new one and it broke at the same spot reeling in a small bass probably not even a lb I tool it back a little annoyed that time and it broke again reeling in another fish at the same exact spot so I returned it too and now I just have the blank setting in the corner for a back up that I'm never going to need because none of my other poles break im very disappointed I really like berkleys products but definitely not there rods I gave it 2 stars cuz it's light weight and does have a decent back bone when it's not breaking I wish it would have held up because it has a good feel to it but 3 rods breaking at the same spot pretty much summed it up for me I hate to leave bad reviews
