Product reviews of Berkley E-Motion Casting Rod
Steve Arrington : poor shipping an handling of my rods
First eye was bent on one rod but the rods work fine went store an brought another one
Roy H. : Nice feeling rod
First time fishing the reel seat handle came unglued so I contacted Berkley about recommending a glue so I could fix the rod myself and they said they could not recommend anything. So I tried to file a claim and got the response that they would sell me another. I tried again to contact to ask if this was not covered under there warranty and now I have been blocked from contacting their E-Mail. I like the rod and actually bought a second one and planned on buying several more before this one broke but I will try not to buy any more Berkley products if this is how they are going to treat the customer on a product still under its claimed warranty!
***********Update-- After this post I was contacted via E-Mail from Berkley and now I am not blocked from sending E-Mails to Berkley. Berkley is honoring warranty and after paying shipping and handling they are sending a new rod.
***********Another Update---They actually sent a spin cast rod instead of a casting rod but since it was their mistake they are letting me keep the spin cast rod for free, without warrantied of course, and shipping me the correct rod. When I called back to let them know about rod mix up the young lady named Sherry was super nice which I appreciated very much. She made me feel much better about ordering from Berkley again. I hope they get this message back to her "Thank you Sherry!" So overall I am much happier with Berkley since talking with someone that was courteous and helpful. Roy H.

Eddie : Amazon, please do a better job packaging fishing rods!
This has to be one of the best rods money can buy under $100. I own 3 of these: 7'6" XH, 7' MH and 6'4" M. I will say that the guides handle flourocarbon or mono far better than braid. There's a very noticeable difference in casting distance. I do run 65# braid on the XH but I'm pitching jigs and punch rigs on it. The 7' MH is an excellent all around rod that can do just about anything. I use mine mostly for throwing small Texas rigged worms on 1/4oz - 1/2oz bullet weights. It's not the lightest rod but the stiffness adds to the overall sensitivity. So is the case with the XH. The 6'4" Target rod says it was designed for skipping baits. The specs to me seem like it will make a good topwater/jerkbait rod and I saw the price so I pulled the trigger. I have not gotten on the water with it yet but in my hands it feels like it should suit my needs.
At full price this rod is a great deal. On sale they are an absolute steal.
I am however unhappy with the packaging as it arrived to my house. The tip was not wrapped at all and the first guide was bent up as someone else has shown in a photo with thier review. I was able to carefully bend it back and it should not affect performance but it's dissapointing to see and know the rod was bouncing around in transit in a loose box.
John : Awesome Rod
I did not fine it on Amazon and could not afford one of the other more expensive name brands. So far it is one of the most sensitive rods with great backbone for getting those monster bass out of heavy cover and matted grass. Awesome Rod for the money you cannot go wrong.

I had been thinking about trying the E-motion series for some time. Checked one day and it was the deal of the Century, had to do it. Bought the 6'4" Bait caster which turns out to be a very good decision. Pretty sure this will be my go to rod for jerk baits, might make a good top water rod too. These rods are very light but have held up to some pretty decent bass already so seem to be plenty strong. I really like the Hybrid guides. I will definitely be buying more in other lengths/actions.
