Triple-Layer Technology
First, we make our knife blades and shears from premium stainless steel, known for its rust resistance. We then polish the surface to a bright finish. Making the surface mirror-smooth reduces the exposed surface area, creating fewer places where corrosion can start.
Next, we passivate the blades. Passivation forms rust-resistant chromium oxide below the outer surface to create a wall of defense against salt water.
Finally, we treat the surface with our Titanium Bonded process to increase hardness and defend it even more from the elements.

It is sharp, not professional butcher’s kind of sharp, this has a slight toothy feel to the edge where its been ground but no matter, it cuts nicer than my regular carving knives. It seems to hold an edge nicely even though there is a high degree of stainless in the blade.
I like the full tang aspect, where the metal from the blade runs through the whole length of the handle. You can see "Titanium" laser engraved on it through the clear plastic. This way knives tend to last longer in that they don’t separate from the handle as fast as knives where the blade is simply inserted and glued into a handle, sometimes fastened with rivets. There is a long part of the handle running towards the back end where the plastic is clear and you can see the tang so saying it’s a full tang knife isn’t a guess.
The handle with its fish scale texture is comfortable and allows for a good grip even with turkey fat on it. It’s thick enough that I can hold onto it and still thin enough that my wife doesn’t struggle to hold it. The hole located very near the front of the handle does help with holding it when coated with things like the turkey fat or fish slime.
For filleting fish, it would be better if it wasn’t quite as wide, from the cutting edge to the back side of the blade. This would make it easier slipping up along back end of a fish when coming up to the tail as is necessary with some fish that won’t lie flat on the cutting board. It’s still easy enough to manoeuvre but could be better.
The sheath is easy to use, even with wet hands. It’s rigid and does a very good job of protecting me and the blade from making contact when not desired. There is a nice pop when the blade is inserted to the right point and no amount of shaking allows the knife to come loose. A quick sharp tug and it pops out. It’s also designed so that it only goes in one way. I appreciate that the belt loop is made to slide onto either side of the sheath making it good for left or right hand users. It’s also easy to clean, a simple kitchen sink brush cleans off the outside scale texture and a good hot water flush cleans out the inside. There is a small drain hole located at the bottom which allows any internal moisture to drain out. This isn’t necessarily a good thing as I didn’t appreciate the fish guts water running onto my pants before I discovered the hole and understood I need to better wipe the blade before sheathing it.
I’m pretty happy with it and for the price it’s a good deal. The stainless and titanium combo should last a very long time.
