Answer: Its a small white 1"x1" square nylon netting, not a natural net.

Answer: Yes but this is a very thin net and would be kinda hard to see from a distance.so is better suited for inside.

Answer: the net comes with a small amount of rope and some bobbers but if you want more, im sure that rope will work. the rope that comes with the net is very similar in color.

I ordered this and it looks great but I can't get the sea shells to stay put. Someone suggested hot gluing them. Is that right?

Answer: We used a staple gun to put the net up. We hang up a small surf board, like you would a large picture, using small brass chain. Got a extra small wet suit and hang it with a staple gun, but stapling it up on the inside. Got a harpoon and hang it like a large picture. Most of the shells, star fish, lobster, crab, blow fish were entangle with the netting. Natilius shell, hang with a small finish nail. Hope this helps you.

could this be used on a ceiling?

Answer: Yes it could. The decorative pieces can be tangled in the net. The sea shells would be the challenge.

Lots of netting...and as I am from a commercial fishing family, I should have been able to put it together fast. It comes in parts so you have to thread the rope and bobbers through the top of the net...not a big deal. But..just know you might look confused as all the pieces come out of the box! CUTE!!

I bought this for my tiki bar on my deck. I figured if I order it on line from a place in Florida I would have the best shot at it being authentic. Well...NOT even close. It is flimsy and cheap. The buoys are a joke and honestly I am embarrassed to even hang it up. Do not buy if you want nice heavy duty fish netting.

The decorations are really cheap made, but overall extremely cute. If it wasn't for me having to go out of my way to contact the seller regarding the missing items I would have given them 5 stars.

When ordering this item, note that the netting is very lightweight and disappears against a light colored wall. The plastic pieces are really hoaky and not great. Make sure to buy this one as the smaller version is the same price. Don't use the one click purchase feature at amazon as you will be billed twice for delivery if you order both sizes. Quality is only so so.
