Great lure! I'm an avid bass fisherman and have loved using this. The Pocket Frog is great for ponds and going after bass in the 1 - 2 lb range, though I've caught smaller and larger. They usually eat the lure. Terrific topwater fun and very weedless. If you're going after bigger bass, I'd recommend the Lunker Frog, which is same but the larger size.

Kimstarz : Misleading size

I have other Lunkerhunt Frogs in the size indicated (2 1/2 inches) and they're much larger than this one. This one is 2 1/2" WITH the legs extended but that's not how the manufacturer measures the size. The original 2 1/2" frogs have a BODY that's 2 1/2 inches without the legs extended (4" with the legs extended).

Smaller than anticipated. Need to use a spinning reel with light line to work it well.

Amazon Customer : Wrong description beware.

My buddy and I place the same order and we both got the same wrong size frogs. Description state 2.5” but we both got 1.75” and on top of that I had to ship back to seller.

Caught my first bass on any frog ever. Almost gave up on top water frogging until I used this one. If you get the finesse down on this, it is very realistic. I was getting hit after hit. I am very impressed and buying more.

Had a small frog I liked and noticed I must have lost my big frog so I ordered this, turns out it is the same small frog I already had. Looks awesome, I like legs rather than a skirt. Great frog but their 2.5 inches could only be with legs all the way out. This is a one inch frog, don't let the 2.5 inches fool you. Other than being very small, only dislike is it doesn't cast far and for using frogs you have to be far away.

Bass can't resist this little finesse frog. Throws best on spinning gear or BFS baitcaster. To light for standard baitcasters.

I received the wrong sized frog, but I'm still happy with it I guess. It's a tiny frog, compared to the others that I ordered but it will get the job done

Will B. : Hooksets are difficult

I got a lot of bites on this, never got the hook set. When you look at it and push on the bait to expose the hooks, you see why. The portion of the bait in front of the hook points, that needs to be compressed to get a hookset, is very short and tapered. I think the only way to reliably get a good hookset is if the fish really swallows it and you set hard with a long rod with a lot of backbone.

Bill : Colors are not consistent

Unfortunately, the colors are not consistent. Example with the poison frog black/ yellow pattern on one and black/ green pattern on a "matching" pair. Poor quality control.
