Answer: There's a myriad of factors that play into which bait weight will work best... It is completely dependent on atmospheric conditions, water conditions, temperature (both air and water), time of day, ect... I would def use like a 10g or 15g. Either one of these styles should work great.

Answer: I only fish ocean. Works great on rockfish.

These are great swim baits. They have a great action and are kinda a top water/suspending bait. I fish them in saltwater and when the bait hits the water i take in my slack and give it a big rip like I'm setting a hook so it runs deep and then i work it like a jerk bait.

These are a little smaller than I anticipated, but that's not a bad thing. They fit into my little 'grab and go' size box very handily.
They are sturdy, seem to be well built and hefty for their size. The color is bright and dynamic on them, though I'm gauging its resilience just on handling and trying to rub off color -- we'll see how they hold up with use once spring hits. The hooks are pretty strong, not easily bent, but I am a smidge concerned about the front hook. It appears to be hand tied (as advertised) but could represent a real weak spot if something hits and snags just that hook, because it's only tied to the eye of the lure, with no sort of resilient connection. If that thread isn't good in the water, it represents a weak spot. Again, not experienced a problem as it's too cold to fish, but could be an issue.
If you're looking for some smaller lures to add to a lake kit, this is a pretty good choice, I think.
