Doesn't work as good as advertised. First cast with it and I caught a fish but after that I have not caught a single other fish with it. 3 stars is generous in my opinion

When i saw this on the web i totally didn't expect it to work. My husband and I have gotten suckered by many fishing gadgets and such that were awful and did not do what they said they would. But I am glad to say this one really works and on all species of carnivorous fish. We have been pleasantly surprised and will buy again as needed. Works in rivers, lakes and ponds.. havent used it in ocean waters yet, but will soon....

Maybe 3 stars is unfair or too many. I say this because I put this stuff on some powerbait with a bit of garlic oil and zero takers. Then I decided to roll it into some powerbait and still no bites not even a sniff. On my next try I used power bait with garlic oil no dust and was getting hits. So my theory is this brought the trout over but wasn't on the hook at the time of the day they became active? I am still going to try it next outing.

The lake is trout planted every 2 weeks
Powerbait used was extra scented garlic green/orange
Garlic oil was Bite on
4lbs test line
Size #8 bait hook

It sucked . I used it in 4 different water bodies in the lakes region in NH and they are all stocked lakes. I didn't even get a bite. Im not very happy with the results and I will probably never use it again and throw it away .

Well today was the first time I tried the hatchery dust and as soon as I applied it to my power bait and tossed it out bang fish on but after that I never got another bite all day, all I can say is the fish I caught must have been swimming by yawning. I really don't know if it was the hatchery dust or the flavor of the power bait I was using. Anyway I will try a couple more times before I say its crap. So good fishing guys and gals and good luck.

Don’t waste your money! It’s a gimmick. I’ll stick with the proven Berkley Powerbait and Gulp stuff for trout. Tried it side by side to Berkley Power Dust. No comparison. Berkley actually works caught 4 on the Power dust, no one bite on the Lip Ripperz. My two top producing scents are Berkley and Pro Cure.

Trial 1:
I used this over a week, fishing was very hot and I and anyone using the correct set-up was limiting out. Tested side by side against powerbait of same color (1 rolled in this, one not) we both limited out in approximately 4 hours. I'm not sure on this stuff, maybe try it again when the bite is harder, might be good for using up last seasons powerbait.

Trial 2:
I tried this out with a buddy on Riffe lake in Washington. We both used Powerbait dough, I rolled mine in the dust, he did not. 4 hours of fishing and he caught 4 trout, I caught 1. I don't believe that this works.

Conclusion:
They are right, it should be illegal or at least the claims they make should be.

Really does seem to work when fishing in a stocked area.

This product was used for several hours in the same spot 4 trout were cought a week earlier at a local lake. The hatchery dust was applied to several types of trout "power bait" without any results. I'll continue using it and try it with other baits.
