Questions about Atlas-Mike's Miracle Thread Bait Wrap Thread
Q:
Is it silicone? Is it sticky?
Answer: Silicone elastic thread! And works amazingly!! Holds chicken liver on the hook perfectly!!
Answer: More like a silicone. Streches and wrapps on itself. Hold anchovies on long enough to get past all the little one on the surface. It improves the hook rate.
Answer: More like a silicone. Streches and wrapps on itself. Hold anchovies on long enough to get past all the little one on the surface. It improves the hook rate.
Answer: Not sure what it's made of but its not sticky to the touch. works damn great though has helped keep baits securely on that would otherwise come off much sooner. caught many fish using this
Answer: It feels like some kind of strechy reasonable strong stuff. It sticks to itself when streched. I put an anchovie on the hook and wrap it a few turns. It allows the bait to get below the little ones on the surface. I use it when I can't get a bite but I am getting a lot of nibbles. Funny thing is I have pulled up my bait to find just the anchovie skelleton on wrapped on the hook. I am still trying to figure out how a fish can suck all the meat off an anchovie.
Answer: It's just like a mini rubber band to hold livers on the hook. It works better than thread or anything else I've used.
Answer: Yes, it will stick to itself as you wrap, eliminating the need for half hitches.
Q:
anyone use to hold a chicken liver on a single hook for cats? its so tender and near impossible to cast without the liver flying off
Answer: What I do is buy a bucket of livers and tie them up before I go fishing so all I have to do is hook the liver inside the string and it holds pretty good
Answer: I’ve used it successfully for several years using a single hook. Holds very well even while casting.
Answer: Never used for chicken liver but it works great with soft clams I hope this helps
Answer: Check this video, they use just for that:
Q:
How thin or what size is the thread? Not how long it is
Answer: It's about the size of a small rubber band. It is very strong for wrapping baits (such as chicken livers) to your hooks. I used it the first time and will not use anything else now. Good luck man.
Q:
Knots not required, just twist and tighten, what does “twist and tighten” mean?
Answer: Just wrap the bait and pull till the string breaks. It's super soft and sticky. Works great.
Answer: I was not impressed by the product, it’s a basically a thin thread of rubber to wrap around bait on your fishing hook, and pull until it broke. It had no way to
Q:
Can the dispenser bottle be purchased by itself?
Answer: I would think that it would not be able to be purchased by itself. However I imagine one could me made by using a medicine bottle with a small hole in the top.
Answer: Not separately.
Answer: No bro....is 5 bucks all.....
Answer: Why do you ask? I don't know the answer.
Q:
is it bio degradeable?
Answer: I'm not sure if it is bio degradable. It is very thin and stretchy and breaks easily. I can't image it causing an environmental problem.
Product reviews of Atlas-Mike's Miracle Thread Bait Wrap Thread
Rudy O : This stuff works.
This works well. I tie my chovies on and they keep biting on it till just the skeleton is left on. Catching more fish with it.
Karla : love this stuff
love this stuff. i use it for chicken livers & hot dogs. it really holds the bait to the hook. i also love the fact that i can wrap it around the bait & hook and just break the thread without having to use a cutter.
Rick : Best way to keep liver on the hook
Works great can really fling chicken liver and it will stay in the hook.
Dasderain : Five Stars
Better than expected.
Biker Boy : it works
best bait wrap on the planet
Alfonso k Terlizzi : Pull tight and works amazing
I’ve been using this product for yrs . If your not a moron , it works very very well . You just have to pull very tight and do multiple wraps on your bait . I used to use it on my flat fish lures for salmon now I use it for surf casting in Florida . Sucks that the only way to get it is by bail
D.D. : Couldn't get it to work real well.
I read articles on the web and watched a bunch of YouTube videos and I can not get this stuff to hold. I wrap the spawn bag 3 or 4 times then pull, then repeat 1 or 2 more times. As soon as I let go of the bag just unwraps and falls off.
Disappointing, I really wanted this to work.
Update:
Seems to work better if you wrap fairly tight 8-10 times then pull tight then repeat once more. Still not great but it will work
If not anything else it will help hold bag together if you need to secure it with real string.
Jason : Why didn’t I know about this long ago
This stuff works well in keeping chicken liver on the hook for much longer periods of time.
N. Pham : Kinda like rubbery floss
This stuff is okay. It's not the miracle product everyone else seems to be making it out as. It doesn't stick to itself like saran wrap or anything but at the same time, you don't have to tie a knot to get it to stay. You do have to wrap it around whatever bait you're using a lot and not only the few times people claim before it'll hold your bait. Fish will still come and take some of your bait such as shrimp even if you use this stuff. It lasts a few casts rather than only possibly one or two when using stuff that comes off easy.
I'm still on the wall about this stuff, but the hassle that it seems to get this stuff to stay on might not be worth it.
K. Romer : Will not buy again
Not really impressed with this product. I bought this after seeing it on several YouTube videos. It is not nearly as easy to use as they make it seem. I used with nightcrawlers to slow down the Tuttle this very (its impossible to stop it) but tying the worms on slows them down enough to give the fish a chance to find the worm. It was difficult to hold the thread to the hook with slippery fingers when starting the wrap. Also often started unwind

RJ McClintock : Bait wrap aid
Its a great product for my use in fishing for salmon
Jacob M. Kroon : works great to hold on soft bait
works great to hold on soft bait. i use it with chicken livers which i used to have a tough time getting to stay on the line. i have to use more than three wraps but i dont fear the bait is going to come off when casting or when sitting for awhile without a bite. you can give some umph to the cast without worry. caught many fish now using it, definitely doesnt bother them. even had it hold the bait on after a snag. I cant say enough good about it, i love it.
Amazon Customer : Life Saver
This stuff is a life saver. Used it to keep whole clams on the hook surfcasting, and it was also good to keep the guts in a bunker chunk when casting also.
Brother Reed : Five Stars
Good stuff really helps hold the bait on
Amazon Customer : Fishermen’s best friend!
The best stuff for raw bait on a hook. A little goes a long way! Literally.
Ellen : It's amazing
I don't know why this stuff isn't more popular/sold in major fishing retail stores. We absolutely rely on it. We usually use shrimp and this stretchy stuff keeps the bait firmly on the hook. It's a staple in our tackle box.
Rick : Best way to keep liver on the hook
Works great can really fling chicken liver and it will stay in the hook.
konstantin : Good staf
Using it allot
Maddog Fishing : This is the thread only and not the container.
The elastic thread works as it should. My only complaint: it didn't come with the container.
Natasha Swartz : If you hate losing bait, get it
This stuff is a godsend. I hated losing my bait. Works wonders with chicken liver and shad. Mostly use it for sturgeon fishing. Very happy.
Amazon Customer : Good product. Highly recommend
I like. I use for fish. Me catch fish with chicken liver. I use this to chicken liver tie on hook thingy. I catch fish. Good
Denis F.B.I santos : ????????
????????
Sir Charles : Superb
We use this to tie our bait to the hook when surf fishing. It works well - on tiny nuggets or whole cut bait and jumbo shrimp. A tube lasts for dozens of baits. Easy to use.
Rudy O : This stuff works.
This works well. I tie my chovies on and they keep biting on it till just the skeleton is left on. Catching more fish with it.
Nathan Owens : Great product
Handy to have
a1amap : Five Stars
Keeps the bait on the hook. Was able to use a single squid to land multiple fish
CuriousGuy : Keeps bait on longer
A friend told me about this and it does help keep the live or frozen shrimp/squid etc on the hook longer.
Jacob M. Kroon : Great for using soft bait.
This worked perfectly for me. Use it to keep liver on a hook, it is very soft. This keeps it on for multiple casts, and you can give some umph when casting to get better distance without the bait flying off.
Used several times and definitely doesn't bother the fish. Like another reviewer said it takes more than a few wraps but even with liver slime I am impressed with how well it holds the bait, even after a snag the bait will hang on.
Candido Perez : Excellent
Excellent
Skyrat1 : Four Stars
Great for keeping liver on hook while fishing for catfish. I recommend
Jay : Doesn’t work
First time I used it I wanted to tie a feather to the shank of a treble hook - I wrapped it tightly, but it just unraveled - the spool was tangled too and it just didn’t work
justin b : Perfect for easily tying chicken liver on for cats
Good solution for tying chicken liver on for catfishing. Easier than using small monofilament.
Amazon Customer : Buy this
Excellent keeps bait on the hook, NO knots
chilenoenvermont : Four Stars

Good.
Eros Frans : One Star
This was not what I had order. This can’t be use for anything. It breaks apart at contact.
dare : Good product, but overpriced
Does exactly what is suppose to do. Holds frozen anchovies better than hook alone. Maybe a little overpriced
tom : great spawn thread
Best thread i have owned. Will get more when i need some.
duane : Four Stars
Works like it should !!
Rosa : Great Product.
Use it for chicken liver, it can be tricky to get the hang of it but in no time you'll have your bait secured and hauling in the big ones. Also has lasted em a long time
Ezra : Five Stars

CDP's Onceagain habit of purchasing : Atlas Mike's Miracle Thread Bait Saver, White
I sometimes use some fragile bait and Atlas Mike's Miracle Thread Bait Saver, White, allows me to put an almost invisible wrap around the soft bait to hold it to the hook. I have not used this product for long, but I will continue to buy it in the future and carry it in my shirt pocket when fishing bait. It is reasonably priced, at 3.49 per 100 feet of this magic thread per dispenser. This product is viable mostly with soft baits, mussels, clams, shrimp and minnows and keeps a sand flea where it will get your fish. I wish this product were available to my knowledge years ago. I really 5 star it! Won't say the L word.
