Worked well on charter boat out of Morro Bay, got to keep it off the bottom or you'll be snagged in a heartbeat, we were fishing at 360' needed the weight to keep fishing line under me without tangling.

If you're going for rock or ling cod, these are great. 16 oz is pretty heavy, but if you're in a lot of current on a party boat, they really help keep your line under your spot. Of course they will snag on the rocks, so keep them a couple of feet off of the bottom. I did donate one to Neptune, so it's nice to get a 5-pack! I was surprised that a "Smallish" rock cod bit this monster lure! Be sure to rinse with fresh water after fishing in salt water (as with all gear)!
