Jig looks to be good quality, however Hughes and clips are junk!

Be prepared to change them out unless you wanna lose that record breaking fish.

AKMonkey : Great lure for halibut in 100 to 300 feet.

One of my favorite jigs for Alaska halibut. Just keep bouncing this on the bottom and when you feel a strike, set it hard. Usually you'll hook them on the underside of the mouth as they bite at the middle of the jig. This one requires more effort than a bait that you can just sit on the bottom, but in my experience it gets more action.
