Used this reel kayak fishing in the salt probably a dozen times now. It's very smooth and casts nicely. Line twist occurs, but I've had much worse in other reels so I'd rate this one a 4.5 for twist. I usually rig it for lures and as such it's my second rod in the boat. I use a smaller Mitchell as my primary live bait rod. Good value for the money.
