Is anyone having trouble getting the striker to hit? I can not get my laser ammo to work in my Ruger SR40 or my SR9. Works fine outside of of guns.

Answer: Own a Ruger SR40 / SR9? With the assistance of the technicians at SureStrike I found my problem. You MUST have an EMPTY magazine in the firearm to make the striker activate. There is an internal safety that will not let the striker work in the gun without a magazine. Thank you every one who sent answers to my question.

Answer: I had the same issue with mine. You have to fine tune the fit by loosening the connection in the shell piece so it's a little longer.. It doesn't have to be much. Just enough for the stiker to push it enough..

Answer: I have not had any trouble with glocks.

Answer: I know I had one of my pieces backwards so I turned it around. It made the difference. Now it all fits nicely in my Glock 23 Gen 4

does it work in shield 40?

Answer: Yes it works for any 40 S&W chamber. But you do have to have the 9mm cartridge to adapt to .40 using this adapter.

Answer: I works in all 40 S&W's I have tried. I do not have a "40 Shield"

Answer: Yes but you need the the SURESTRIKE 9mm cartridge with this adapter for your .40 cal pistol.

Answer: I imagine it would. I use it in a glock 23 and it fits no problem.

The sleeve works, but it doesn't feel like it's pointing as straight as it does in my 9mm. No way to really test and verify for sure other than how it feels. At long distances, your bullet would drop much lower than the lazer but this is still a great tool for practicing at home. Most people don't need to hit a quarter size target in a real situation anyways so I think it's the best at home practice tool you can buy.

Inexpensive addition make the 9mm cartridge fit a .40 and other calibers.
mine is for a .40 and alignment remained perfect.
