Expande the capacity of the Nesco American Harves FD-37 Dehydrator. Each unit ordered contains two trays to increase the drying ability of the dehydrator. Use only Nesco American Harvest dehydrator trays as they are the only ones designed with the patented Fan Flow Radial Air drying technology. The FD-37 can be expanded up to a total of 7 trays.

How do the brackets work with additional trays? Does the product come with larger brackets to fit over six trays?
Answer: The brackets don't work & they don't come with larger ones. You don't need them to use the dehydrator. The brackets are convenient for storage, but not a necessary item.
Answer: The brackets don't fit over the extra trays. The trays stack in place without them, I decided that the brackets were for shipping and I don't use them when I am drying. The extra trays are well worth the price.
Answer: Works like a charm, I bought the two extra trays and dried chicken strips for my dogs.

Answer: For the FD-37, the maximum is 7 trays for optimal air flow.
Answer: I have used as many as 10 but it take a little longer to dry whatever you are drying. When I use the 10 I rotate bottom tray to top about every couple of hours.

Answer: Hi, This states it is for the FD-37 model. I do not think it will work with the FD-39. I would look at the dimensions of each to be absolutely sure. This one says it is 14 x 9.5 x 14.5 inches for the FD-37.

Answer: 13 1/2 inch diameter. Having the two extra trays allows for about 3 1/2 to 4 lbs of meat to dehydrate when cut 1/8" thickness
Answer: I believe it is about 12" across. It works beautifully and I make chicken jerky for my dog in mine. I filet the breast meat about 1/4" thick and this cooks/dehydrates it.

This is not the product in the picture. I had bought an open country dehydrator made by nesco. I wanted expansion trays. The trays in the pictures are what I was hoping for. The pictures show basically a double rimmed tray. What you get is a single rim.

The only thing I would change on this product is by having a way to set the temperature. Some foods need to be at 110 and others need 115 and others call for 120. Since this has not temperature gauge, I have no idea what temp I am working with, which makes checking the food more often a necessity. Other than that, I have been having great results!

Works well with the dehydrator its designed for- Nesco FD 37, and I am so glad I got them when I ordered the dehydrator. I'm getting more as soon as I can as it would be a convenience to have 6 trays drying and 6 trays loading. I may even buy more dehydrators as its outstanding how fast 3 people, 2 on gluten free and 1 on diabetic diets, can go through good snacks !!!!!!!

I love the additional trays and have needed all of them to dry my herbs. My machine, however, has stopped working and only after 5-6 uses. Disappointing. I will keep the trays and will eventually obtain a new machine if I cannot get this one fixed.
