How do the brackets work with additional trays? Does the product come with larger brackets to fit over six trays?

Answer: The brackets don't work & they don't come with larger ones. You don't need them to use the dehydrator. The brackets are convenient for storage, but not a necessary item.

Answer: The brackets don't fit over the extra trays. The trays stack in place without them, I decided that the brackets were for shipping and I don't use them when I am drying. The extra trays are well worth the price.

Answer: For the FD-37, the maximum is 7 trays for optimal air flow.

Answer: I have used as many as 10 but it take a little longer to dry whatever you are drying. When I use the 10 I rotate bottom tray to top about every couple of hours.

Answer: These are not designed for steaming, it can cause them to warp.

Answer: Hi, This states it is for the FD-37 model. I do not think it will work with the FD-39. I would look at the dimensions of each to be absolutely sure. This one says it is 14 x 9.5 x 14.5 inches for the FD-37.

Answer: 13 1/2 inch diameter. Having the two extra trays allows for about 3 1/2 to 4 lbs of meat to dehydrate when cut 1/8" thickness

Answer: I believe it is about 12" across. It works beautifully and I make chicken jerky for my dog in mine. I filet the breast meat about 1/4" thick and this cooks/dehydrates it.

No sense drying with four shelves when you can fill it with six. Even if you plan on filling four trays, you will often end up with too much to fit on four and need the extras. For the price, good to have on hand. Same quality as the originals. Great. Would buy again.

The only thing I would change on this product is by having a way to set the temperature. Some foods need to be at 110 and others need 115 and others call for 120. Since this has not temperature gauge, I have no idea what temp I am working with, which makes checking the food more often a necessity. Other than that, I have been having great results!

While I'm still undecided about the dehydrator itself (as written in a review for it, mine is loud and gets pretty hot), the two trays in the Add-A-Tray box fit the machine perfectly. They're made of lightweight plastic and clean up easily as well.

If you have the Nesco FD-37 Food Dehydrator, these trays will enable you to dry more at one time. I'd be interested to know from others if they've been happy with their machines... either the FD-37 or the WT-2SG.

An important note is this also fits the FD-39 model which isn't listed anywhere on Amazon. But this information is listed on Nesco's website.

I purchased this to add a tray to each of my Nesco Dehydrators. The additional tray fits right on the originals without any issues and increases the capacity of each drying cycle. Appearance is a little different than the originals that came with the dehydrator but works just as well.

I had bought two of this product via Amazon Prime and I returned because I found cheaper and the dehydrator that I had bought days ago wasn't perform as expected (temperature is too high to dehydrate and it ends up cooking the food and not dehydrating).

My surprise is that I was refunded for only one of them. After contacted Amazon customer services they mentioned I was charged for two returns at different values due to the condition the item was received.

I couldn't believe what I was told, I had returned both in one box without even opening the product box and ended up charged for two shipping and still I am told that this was due to the condition of the product I didn't open???? My conclusion was that I had received a damaged product and didn't know because I was dummy because I didn't open the product box (of course, if I open the product box I would be charged also).

I had returned both products the way I received. Because of that I was charged and still there was no explanation why I was charged for two returns if I sent one box with both product inside.

After a long discussion with customer service they finally refund me for the product but because the system had already processed the refund they could only give amazon credit.

Oh boy, when I think I back to love by Amazon again, they suddenly disappoint me with this kind of service.

I'm giving 1 star because I didn't like this product (poorly made) and you can find cheaper. Although Amazon kinda solved the refund issue it took a while for the customer service to reach the fair term which was frustrating for me. So I'm considering my experience an addition to justify one star.

With Amazon you don't know how the package will arrive to the warehouse after you dispatch for return and they may charge you automatically without notifying you or giving you any clarification. I felt Amazon customer service is trained to find excuses after excuses to justify the charging on your credit card.

And it could be worst if you have issues with a seller for a product that is not covered by prime or if you aren't a prime member. In this case Amazon customer services should be called Amazon seller services because they do little to help you. Nobody take ownership on your case and stay beginning to end until the problem is solved, everytime you contact, you get a different person and you have to tell the story over and over there may be even cases where representatives will give you different explanation (maybe they weren't trained? who knows). But from my end I felt they tell you things such as "I sent an email, let's wait for seller to respond" only to get rid of you.
