Is the portion that holds fish 30" tall or is the entire unit 30"tall with the top collar and bracket?

Answer: its roughly 17 /19 that holds fish. it is the biggest you can get. I had 16 3# stripers in mine I buy them every time one wears out 2-3 yrs

This is the same cheap basket you can buy at Wal Mart. I bought the
large one and it is so big it doesn't work on the boat very well. I have
been looking for a heavy duty basket with no results for a long time and
was disappointed that this was not it.
