Answer: Yes, it'll work great, as long they fit in the 5 gallon , I have had over 20+ shrimp alive for like 5 hours and worked great !

Answer: Probably depends on the temperature. I place an ICEIT cold pack in mine and keep shrimp alive all day where air temps are in the low 80's.

Answer: It worked well for trout (a very sensitive fish) for a few hours, but the water/weather was cold. I'd recommend cooling the water somehow... not tap water ice, but maybe distilled water ice. Don't put too many fish in the bucket.

Answer: As long as you don't overcrowd them, you should be fine. The size of the fish will also affect how many you can keep alive for any length of time.

Answer: 2 - 3 dozen depending on the size. Change the water frequently and keep out of direct sunlight and they will last longer.

Answer: Not sure what you’re referring to, it if it’s the tube running into the lid, that’s the aerator hose...attaches to the portable battery operated aerator on one end and air stone on the inside.

Answer: yes, also you can buy a bucket from walmart for $5 and its a snug fit. I've used the lid once already for pier fishing with no problems

Answer: Not loud at all. I did not measure in dB, but you notice it is there but the noise won't bother you.

Answer: Yes... but it'll require a little (or a lot of) ingenuity. If you still want to use it with batteries then make a "dummy" battery that contacts the + and - terminals and then hooks into a 1.5v power adapter (Try a Trisonic) and plug it into the wall.

Answer: Have to buy a separate air pump for wall outlet use. Look for one used for aquariums. Aside from having to have two different pumps it would be easy to switch back and forth between pumps when needed.

Great so far. A lot of options, 1 or 2 batterie, loops for minow nets, large hinged top with holes for aerator tubing and changing water without losing bait. Wish there was multiple power options., ie /cigarette lighter, ac and battery option. This would extend battery life (that I found to be about 48 hours as stated ).ie boat, campsite etc.

Got this lid and aerator to put onto a small 2-gallon bucket and it fit like a glove. I love that it has the ability to attach accessories to it, like a small fish net to get the bait fish, pliers, and whatever else you may readily need.

This lets me easily turn a 5g bucket into a safe way to transport my fish, as well as an emergency qt or hospital tank.

I like that the top snaps on securely to the bucket, and still has easy access via the hinges lid. The edge of the top has multiple holes for running things like airline and heater into the bucket while allowing the lid to be securely closed. It also has slots around the edges for hanging a net, clipping an air pump, and any other little tools you may need to keep with your fish bucket.

The air pump! I cannot say enough good things about it! It has saved my butt during power outages and equipment failures. It runs for DAYS on two fresh D batteries, but can run on a single battery just fine in a pinch, with as much power, just not as long.

And it is reasonably quiet. It makes a low buzz that is quieter than any of my whisper pumps once you hook the airline up. It may sound like the motor is running slow, but it has very good output.

I recently had a whisper 100 dual output air pump have BOTH diaphragms fail. I had not realized how loud it was getting or how little air it was putting out until I hooked this Bubble Box up instead! I used a T connection on my airline and hooked it up to both sides of my UGF in a fairly deep tank. It is running it better and quieter than the other pump ever did! Three days and still going on the same batteries.

I’m going to be getting more of these!

Does the job well and will keep fish going for quite some time in a standard 5-gallon bucket with the top, or bigger if you just use the aerator separately. I use it for minnows occasionally and most recently kept 15 palm sized blue-gill in a 52-quart cooler overnight (about 12-hours total) for use on a cat-fishing outing the next day. Only lost 2 of the 15 bluegill in the 12-hour period, one of which jumped out the crack I left in the lid of the cooler. 2 D-cell batteries held up the whole time, and they had been used previously on two other shorter outings, so it doesn't suck up batteries too much either. The bucket topper lid stays tight fairly well, but be sure to put a hand over it if you are looking to dump/filter water out of it with bait still in the bucket. You'll for sure lose it unless you pour really slowly, or put a hand over the lid. The whole topper itself does stay secure on the 5-gallon bucket really well, and can actually be a little difficult to remove.

Pretty cool setup. Mine snaps on a plastic pale that you get from the paint dept at Lowes. I'm sure it will do the same for the HD buckets. The HD buckets would probably work better IMHO because they are a taller. It's a simple setup. The bubbler is fairly quiet. I supposed on a quiet lake it could be a little intrusive. But isn't anything louder than a quiet conversation. My only complaint is the metal bracket that hangs the bubbler/battery pack. It is cheap metal that will bend easily. It just hangs on the side of the bucket. Not a deal breaker and I can see where they don't want something elaborate. It is functional.

This lid is great, fit onto a standard five gallon bucket from Home Depot. The lid is plenty wide enough to reach into and the little plastic "straps" around the edge are great for pliers, knives and other fishing accessories. The Bubble Box Aerator is fantastic! Helps keep the minnows alive much longer. I also use this aerator in the "live well" of my old bass-boat when the built-in aerator stopped working. Highly recommend this product.

Flimsey plastic lid. The gap in the aerator between the battery and the motor compartment is Huge. Water got in it the 1st time we used it today. Shorting it out.
Wish I would have istened to the 1st review by the policeman. Took the aerator off and dried it out moved it to the side of the bucket.. Will see if it comes back on tomorrow when given time to dry out.
It might work great when no water is in it and its in a dry invirorment. Like my garage and not at a wet inviroment like the ocean.
