How many worms can you put in container?

Answer: We have used ours for leeches, so I don't know about worms and I believe my husband put about a dozen leeches in it.

Answer: This is a good size container and you can easily put 6 dozen or more crawlers in it without over filling

Answer: You can put 3 to 6 dozen large nightcrawlers easily ..just keep the dirt moist when in use and refrigerated when your not using it..Best bait container I've ever owned!

Answer: I use worm bedding, and this can easily hold 6-8 dozen with enough bedding for a day, but small enough to fit in cooler on hot days.

Answer: With the dirt that you usually get when you purchase a dozen crawlers, I’d say you can easily fit 2 dozen. I use mine for leaches.

Answer: Both has a styrofoam insert in it you can remove

Answer: You can pick your bait up and the water will drain out of the interior trap. Then dump the water out of the outer bucket and put fresh water in it.

Answer: As a woman who goes fishing, when the interior trap is dropped into to water it fills but most of all when it is lifted out the water comes out making very light it easier to lift.

Answer: To hold the minnows, the outside bucket holds the water. The enter bucket has holes around the bottom to be use in a boat our place in the water.

Answer: car yes on a snowmobile ride__don't know yet. got for winter fishing.

Does it float and is it waterproof? looking for something I can put in water to attach to my float tube, not something that will drown my live worms

Answer: As for floating I've had no issues setting it in the water to keep the temp down for the worms, it's a nicely made styrofoam container and the top fits good and snug!...I myself have had no problems with the lid, but I've seen other tell otherwise!

Answer: not sure, I carry it in my boat, I have 2 and one of them the lid doesnt stay on very well. not made as goe d as my old ones. I think that the water would come in at the lid , cause it doesn't have a tight tight seal.

It's a minow bucket, good quality

todd : Cover latches poorly. falls off and leaches swim away.

Frabill needs to put a little more thought into this leach lodge. Cover is held on with a slight turn and latching mechanism, at least on the brand new one I received is very insecure. My cover fell off while in my live well. Could have been on a string in the lake.
My gut tells me something like this should have a thumb activated spring mechanism to open top, so one hand cn open and grab a leach while the other holds the hook.
After one outing, I'd not buy again. I'd try a different one.

Great for leeches and crawlers. Lid works just fine. If it comes off, it’s due to user error. I’ve lost bait before, but it was my own fault, as I didn’t have the lid on securely. Less learned! Simply turn until it snaps into place. Don’t blame the product if you aren’t using it correctly!

The bucket is perfect for minnows. As one reviewer stated, there are areas on each side of the lid where you can attach a pump or net. My pump also had a belt clip style clip on the back, and it worked perfectly with the bucket lid. The hole in the top for the air hose is really nice and allows you to close the lid without pinching the air hose. I have a bobber dip net which has a foam handle so it wasn't able to slide into the bracket for the net, but the bucket was tall enough that I could leave the net in the bucket and still close the lid.

I have been using an earlier version of this product for 20 years without any problems and recently purchased this for a camping trip where I needed one for both leeches and crawlers. Overnight the majority of the leeches escaped leaving me without the bait I was depending on to catch dinner.

I used this to keep my worms fresh. I pour water in them and freeze it. Then I simply rinse off my worms and set them on the ice.
The worms stay fresh and alive even on the hottest fishing days.
My only concern is that the insulation is loose and came away from the side of the plastic container when I put the container in the freezer.
I have an older model that has an orange top and the styrofoam insulation seemed to be a better quality.

Do not buy this item. I bought two for a camping/fishing trip and lost all my biat due to lids coming off. the lid does not lock into place and seems to self twist itself off. I spent a lot of time cleaning up from spills and at the end lost all my bait. Very poor quality design.
