Is this just one spool in a packet or does it come with two spools as shown in the photo? If so how long is each spool?

Answer: Two spools come with each packet. They are 100 foot spools.

Answer: Its two spools. Im not sure how long. But if youre using it to tie egg sacs, It should last quite a while.

Can this keep salmon roe on the hook

Answer: I have never used it to directly hold roe. It is designed to be used with spawn netting. placing eggs on the spawn netting and securing it with the thread to form a sack.

Is this elastic or just regular thread?

Answer: It is a regular thread. I was looking for something to hold liver on decided on Elastic net size 1. I bought a box of 25 yards. made 1 1/2 strips with one end tied off. Stuffed the liver in it and from the top ran my hook through three sides, twisted it and ran it up the hood shaft and then put the hook into and out of the liver. Throw is as hard as you can and it won't come off.

This is really a perfect thread for securing bait to a hook ! Its the stretchy style that really sticks to the bait and hook well ! I use it for baiting maryland soft crab for catching them big ole rockfish ! This is a must have for your tackle box ! 5 ☆

LOVED IT! Used for catfishing. It made using fresh chicken livers a breeze! No more bait flying off while you're casting! And doesn't fall off in the water! It's just amazing! The only con is that after a few times rebating the strings were in a knot on the hook. But nothing major. I used a pair of scissors and clipped the thread right off the hook. Took seconds! I'm definitely going to be keeping this in stock in the tackle box!

It securely keeps the bait attached to the hook, and enables not only a longer cast, but also increases the ability to set the hook. I use it when I fish with both chicken liver and shrimp, I give Atlas Mike's Magic Thread credit for increasing the amount of fish that I catch because the fish have to work to take the bait.
