Is this just one spool in a packet or does it come with two spools as shown in the photo? If so how long is each spool?

Answer: Two spools come with each packet. They are 100 foot spools.

Answer: Its two spools. Im not sure how long. But if youre using it to tie egg sacs, It should last quite a while.

Can this keep salmon roe on the hook

Answer: I have never used it to directly hold roe. It is designed to be used with spawn netting. placing eggs on the spawn netting and securing it with the thread to form a sack.

Is this elastic or just regular thread?

Answer: It is a regular thread. I was looking for something to hold liver on decided on Elastic net size 1. I bought a box of 25 yards. made 1 1/2 strips with one end tied off. Stuffed the liver in it and from the top ran my hook through three sides, twisted it and ran it up the hood shaft and then put the hook into and out of the liver. Throw is as hard as you can and it won't come off.

I've been using this stuff for forty years, since I first learned to tie a roe sack. I've used it to wrap sardines on a Kwikfish. I've used it to lasso a worm into place for a nice presentation. I've always had some in my tackle box and/or vest.

It securely keeps the bait attached to the hook, and enables not only a longer cast, but also increases the ability to set the hook. I wish I knew about this sooner. Liver is such a soft bait and falls off hooks easily but with this "magic thread" it stays on for multiple catches and can be casted far and hard.

Works perfectly to hold chicken liver on the hooks with no knots or anything! It can actually be difficult to get the liver off if you want to replace it. Never thought I would have difficulty getting liver off the hook!
