The American Bandit 83156 Marker Buoy sets itself at the proper depth, won't drift off the spot, gives current direction and has 200-feet of line stored internally. This buoy is made of a chemical-resistant unbreakable foam called ARCEL, which is a virtually indestructible closed cell foam. A friction disc assures that your buoy will stop the line from playing out once your weight hits the bottom. This feature assures that the Bandit Buoy is directly above the object you have marked.

How does line retract onto reel?

Answer: The spool has a handle on the top of it, normally one retrieves the weight while another winds the line

What the minimum and maximum weight?

Answer: Not sure if there is a min/max listed. I fish offshore so I found some old sash weights online 2 - 3 lbs, work great in deep water. These are the bomb in marker buoys, highly recommend these.

Answer: We used an 8lb and it was perfect

Best working marker buoy ever. Easy to use. I have a friend who has several of these that have stood the test of time and abuse. Tried for months to reach the manufacturer, was about to give up. Googled it one day and there it was. I think Amazon is the only retail outlet. Bought 2, a little pricey at $100 each but you get what you pay for. Hint: found some old sash weights on ebay to substitute for lead, work great.
