How many and what kind of "watercraft" does everyone own? Just curious about how many guys run a big boat, small boat, canoe or no boat. I know lots of guys that own one bass boat and that's it.
I'll start by saying I had to downsize a little, I'm down to two Bucks Bags float tubes, one Kayak, two tandem canoes and one solo canoe, and my 17' Lowe 170 W w/ 'rude 90 on it.
18 1/2 foot Champion Dual console, 150hp PRoV Yamaha.

1998 Skeeter SS17 aluminum bass boat (17 footer) Yamaha 40hp Minn Kota AT65. Good enough to get the job done but not so good that I don't dare to put it where the bass are. We're going in after them

1972 16' v-hull alumacraft w/25hp 1972 johnson and new minn kota 40lb trolling motor
A 78 Fisher 12' flat bottom jonboat. My dad bought it in 84, we fished it for 2 or 3 years. Sat idle in a pasture for about 5 or 6 years before I salvaged it. Had a really nice trailer, but nothing to pull it with. So I sold the trailer for $125 to a sorry excuse for a man.
Took me 14 years to get another trailer for that boat. :-/
The boat was used quite sparingly until 04. I would borrow my dad's truck about once a month and hit a local lake. Finally got tired of that this spring and spend my tax refund on a trailer at BPS.
Had to rebuild the transom, added some seat brackets. Still using that old Shakespeare trolling motor that dad bought back in 84. 30 lb. thrust. Probably hasn't been used more than 50 times since he bought it, and at least 20 of those have been in the last 6 months.
Found an 81 model Evinrude 4.5 horse outboard for $250, bought that a month ago to use on couple of local lakes. I mostly fish TM only lakes, but there are a couple that are too large to navigate with just a TM.
I have dreams of a larger boat (my current lust draws me to the Tracker PT175), but I make do with the 12 footer. Perfect for one person, a little small for two. Been toying with the idea of making a removeable casting deck for the front.
Also have a Old Town Discovery 169 that the wife and I bought at BPS last summer (almost a year ago to the day). We mainly use it to just go out and float around. Only been used once this year though (will change this weekend) and that was on a 5 mile river float.
1987 Starcraft Magnum 150, 15' 6", with a 1989 70 horse Johnson. Trolling motor is a Minn Kota AT65.
I use an old refurbished Terry bass boat with a new 25 hp Yammy. Also have a 14 ft jon boat outfitted with all the bassin' necessities including an 18 hp Evinrude. Also own a two man canoe for floating creeks and small rivers.

That's funny. I like your sense of humor.
2001 17' Xpress bass boat w/ 90 Merc.
Also still have my 14' fiberglass Stump Knocker w/ 25hp Johnson electric start, tm, graph and dual pedistal seats that I need to sell.
Just today I picked up an '89 Tracker Pro-TX17' w/Classic50 HP and 9.9hp kicker motor( for HP limited lakes). Also has a 46Lb Thrust TM.
The 100' weather breaks after today and it looks like a fine weekend!! This is my first boat other than a cartopper jon boat and I'll be asking TONS of questions on the site in the next few weeks. The thing is in excellent condition and was garage kept and winterized every year and the 9.9Hp is 1yr old and the 50Hp was rebuilt 3 years ago. TM is 1 year old too.
21' Gambler 209TE/Evinrude 225

1959 Grumman 14' aluminum with a 1963 Mercury 9.8 hp.
2006 Lowe 1436 jon with a 1960 5.5 hp Evinrude and a Minn Kota 46# trolling motor.
'97 1668 Dakota (made by Polarcraft) jon boat with a '75 15HP Evinrude and a 43# Motorguide TM on the front. I bought my boat "plain jane" and added decks, a livewell and all the toys! It's a great little river boat and works well on the electric only lakes I fish.
for 10 years, I fished out of a little ol' 12 ft Montgomery Wards Seaking. I think its about a 1978 model :-) That old worn out thing helped me to catch so many thousands of great fish, I just cannot emphasize how huge a part of my life that little ol' dime a dozen aluminum was !!!
But finally, early this year.... after searching high and low, I picked out my "dreamboat". Being a poor guy, I wasn't so sure how I was going to afford it, but because of a few buddies who kept pushing me, I finally got off of my butt and started bugging G3 Yamaha for a sponsorship.... and it worked :-)
I still own my old 12 ft Seaking, which I use in that nasty, corrosive saltwater, but I just can't tell you how much I love my new 14 1/2 ft G3 !!!! :-)
It has the max size motor... 25hp four stroker, with electric start, and power trim and tilt. I put in a front upper fishing deck, bow mounted trolling motor, and pedastal seat mounts front and back. So anyway, what I love about my new boat the most is, its nothing but fishing space from the front to the back ! Notice "NO BENCHES" to get in the way.... and no steering console either !
I can honestly say that if I hit the lottery for $500 million, I might buy a 40 ft offshore racer, with four 300 hp outboards (or one gas turbine :-) and then maybe an 80 ft'er that I could live on...... but I would still bass fish out of my 14 ft G3 aluminum. I have nothing against high performance bass boats. Many of my buddies own them. But they would be of no useful importance for me. Just not my style. (Oh.... plus I'll take my camo paint over glitter anyday ;-)
Peace,
Fish
PS, Yes.... I have started to talk to my new boat now :-)
Heres my bass boat. I just posted a question about putting a fish finder on it. if you have any input, go to the post that says: FishFinder on a "JetSki"?? thanks!
I have a 1978 12" aluminum flat bottom john boat. made a little deck on the front seat for a foot control trolling motor and have 2 nice ebbitide leather seats on it. its tiny and it sucks but it gets me on the water till i can get myself a nice bass boat
Fish Chris that's an awesome aluminum. It's funny, when and if I get the funds to do so, I would love to upgrade my motor to a 115, and paint my rig Advantage Max-4 camo!
Glad to see I'm not the only one.
I need to shoot a better picture of mine and edit my post w/it in there.
