Strong suction power, easy to use. I try on coffee and Fish, the machine shows excellent vacuum performance. both dry food (coffee ) and moist food (Fish) work very well. and this is a great food saver - I use it every week.

This machine is so cool!! My mom bought a lot of meet in Costco, and I use this machine to separate them into small pieces. After vacuum, those bag become to small size. That save so many space in our refrigerator! I love it so much!

I didn't have the success the other reviewers had. I don't think they were from the USA due to the names and the broken English. I don't know if they made a difference or not, but I found the directions lacking in some aspects. For one thing, they didn't tell you that the two open parts of the bag have to be IN the channel. They just said, "place the bag in the sealer." After having several bags that failed to vacuum the air out, I finally placed both in the channel, or indention, and then tried sealing it on moist. It vacuumed!!
Watching some videos, I noticed that the customers pushed down on the corners throughout the sealing process. I didn't read anywhere to do that and I didn't do it. It still sealed the bag..
I deducted two stars as I find this a major problem. I was planning on returning it until I was finally able to get it to vacuum. I used almost all of my bags prior to getting the machine to work properly. I already had the film as I have owned two other vacuum sealers. That is why I felt the directions were lacking. I knew what I was doing, but they didn't properly explain how to vacuum the bags. I recommend this KitchenFun Vacuum Sealer Machine, but only with reservations. Until they improve their directions, I imagine they will have many returned machines.

I had a "name brand" more expensive sealer for a few years. The seal went bad, and they don't sell replacements. Okay... Well, scratch that brand off my list forever. I ended up with this one, wasn't sure what to expect. "Kitchenfun" Seriously? Anyway, this unit is at least as good as my old one was when it was new. It works great. It has a setting for moist food, which is so nice. If you don't know what that means, trust me, it's a good feature. It comes with a hose so you can seal canning jars. They included some sample bags of their own brand, and TA-DAH! They even sent a replacement seal! Highly recommended.

There is no assembly, just read the directions, plug in the appliance and it is ready to go. The vacuum sealer even comes with it’s own sealing bags - both large and medium. In addition, you can order a sealing roll and make your own bags with the sealer, or you can order more ready-made bags.
I tried sealing homemade cookies (which never stay fresh long enough for the whole recipe to be consumed.) The dry vacuum seal was so easy and quick to use. Next I tried lunch meat which is more of a wet seal. Again, pressed the appropriate button and within seconds the food was vacuumed and sealed. I look forward to less food waste thanks to this mighty little appliance!
