Answer: This kit is good for all ages. It is perfect for a beginner, but has enough tackle for anyone. I am 44, and I find there is enough to augment the supplies in my kayak crate.

Answer: As I have never had children, Here is my very unqualified answer… if you can trust your kid to not put non-food items in their mouth and your ok with them having a very sharp hook, well I’d say their old enough. And for the older crew, if you don’t know why your at a lake with a pole in your hand your probably to old and should call some one for help.

I like how this is super compact and complete for a nice starter to intermediate pan fish kit. It has some of the best baits for those pan fish.
