Answer: I absolutely believe it would. Although this came with no recipe book, I googled recipes and in most cases has to adjust the time down. I did meats of course, but also strawberries. The key is if it is to remain at room temperature that you make sure it is dry. The meats I vacuumed packed to keep longer, and some were in zip lock bags and in the refrigerator. This also has a small footprint so fits on the counter. It is also easy to clean.

Answer: It dries very evenly and haven't had to rotate anything, though if you have a lot of different sizes and levels of ripeness, it helps to check towards the end and remove the fruit that's done as you go. We use this a lot because we have a lot of different fruit trees, and you can only make so much jam and jellies - though we also end up freezing a lot of fruit in addition to giving a lot away and eating it and feeding the not so perfect fruit to the wildlife. The VERESIX food dehydrator is one of the best investments we made this year to handle the situation where you have more fruit than you know what to do with.

I don't know why you would want one with the shelves farther apart. If you put big chunks of food in, it will take you a LONG time to dehydrate, and maybe you won't get the food dehydrated at all. This is meant for thin slices of food, not large chunks.

I love this little dehydrator. It is pretty, takes up very little space, is quiet, easy to clean, controls are easy to use, dries very evenly, and actually just perfect for me. While I knew I wanted a food dehydrator, I was initially drawn to the Veresix KYS-308B model because of the size. I prefer a minimalist kitchen, so counter space was an issue. This food dehydrator is easy to store when it is not in use and easy to take out when I need to use it. It measures about 12”x10”x8” all together. There are four trays in total which are about 9”x7” and depending on the size of cookies, I can usually place around 6 cookies to dry on each tray.
I would usually wait for my royal icing to dry or crust over before adding additional designs. Now I can place flooded cookies in the food dehydrator at the lowest temperature for maybe 20minutes. Again, significantly reducing the amount of time I would take to decorate.

I love this thing. Inexpensive and gets the job done only one downfall and it’s knit picking but I just don’t see why it’s 100% needed to have the loud beep for every function it’s like very loud and I mean loud. Other than this it functions perfect multiple settings for different foods shuts off when it supposed to. I definitely buy another one or recommend it except for the loudness of the beep every time you touch a control.

The device is easy to use and clean, runs quietly and is small and out of the way. Based on another question/answer comment, I marinated and then cooked 1.5 lbs of Top Round jerky for 6 hours at 158degrees but the end result was very dry and hard jerky. The second time, I tried for five hours with the same dry result. I wish the manufacturer included a few sample recipes as well as suggested cooking times and temperatures to reduce the trail and error but I'm not giving up until I crack the code.

I needed a new dehydrator because I enjoy making jerky and dried treats for my dog. Some of the fruits I cut up to use are larger and they get smashed in my old dehydrator. Not to mention it makes em look not so great. This dehydrator fit the bill for what I needed. Its small, compact but has so much space. Its hard to explain how small this machine is but the compartments hold more than my larger dehydrator does. Comes with 4 trays and a catch tray at bottom. I am able to set the temperature to what I need and most important I can put it on a timer and when it hits the time it turns off. The machine is super quiet, you can barely tell its on and running. Cleaning has never been a problem with my other dehydrator but what I love about this one is the trays are metal and small enough to put in dishwasher if need be. I love love love this machine!!

This product is truly amazing! At first I was a little skeptical because it is so small, but I quickly realized that it actually fits quite a bit of food in it and it’s more than enough! It’s very easy to set the temp and the time. It also automatically shuts off when the timer ends! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking!

This was the perfect little dryer for my needs. It's small but has 4 removable metal mesh tray and two plastic tray also. The trays are very easy to clean off. I bought it to make grapes into raisins from my backyard vines and it work perfectly in just 10 hours. It's very quiet and easy to operate. Its about half the size of a small microwave but it holds a lot of fruit! I highly recommend it and would buy it as a gift too as it's reasonably priced.

I love this thing. Inexpensive and gets the job done only one downfall and it’s knit picking but I just don’t see why it’s 100% needed to have the loud beep for every function it’s like very loud and I mean loud. Other than this it functions perfect multiple settings for different foods shuts off when it supposed to. I definitely buy another one or recommend it except for the loudness of the beep every time you touch a control.

Right now just finished some mixed berries. So far everything has come out great. When I get the opportunity I'm gonna try jerky.

I bought this because I needed a small appliance to make beef jerky with and this is hands down the best option you could ask for. Super easy to clean and its super quiet while running. I will say the timer is a bit loud but other than that this little guy is ace ????

I love this dehydrator! It is slimline and sits on my counter without taking up tons of room! I love the trays. They hold so much more than you think. I use it to dehydrate liver snacks for my pups. Works great. The digital controls are easy to use. It’s a no brainer. I had an old tray huge plastic model and had to keep arranging the trays to get food to dehydrate at the same rate. I hated it. With this dehydrator I just set it and can leave the house. I don’t have to move trays and everything I put in it dehydrates all the same. Just set it and forget it! I do wish it came with recipes but I just look them up on line.

I love this little dehydrator. It is pretty, takes up very little space, is quiet, easy to clean, controls are easy to use, dries very evenly, and actually just perfect for me. If you have a large family and need a lot of food, buy a larger one, but for one person with limited counter or storage space it is perfect. These little ones are practically impossible to find. Don't look any further, buy this one!

I never owned a dehydrator before and i am very satisfied that the veresix was my first one. I dehydrated some coconut meat and the flavor of the coconut after dehydrating was very very tasty just like the original. Great for making healthy snacks for children. its a great way to make veggie chips from beet chips to kale chips or even coconut chips !
I do wish that I could set the time to be only a few hours and still get the same results, usually it takes up to ten hours, so you wouldnt be able to enjoy your dried snacks until later in the evening or the next day.

Love this dehydrator so far! It made chicken jerky in about 4 hours, nice and chewy. And it’s super quiet. I can barely hear it on the counter. It holds more than you think at first glance. Will definitely be making good use of this, especially for an upcoming road trip/move.

First time making beef jerky when my unit came in. I love that it is so light and compact. I bought pre-cut strips at Wal-Mart (they are pre-cut for stir-fry) and ended up with some of the best jerky I have ever tasted. I got it down to (2) hours. The first hour I had temp at 158 degrees and the second hour 140 degrees. (This was thinly sliced meat) and it came out so well. I'm very happy with this purchase! Only negative thing I could say is the unit does not come with any recipes but you can find them online. It would been great if someone familiar with unit would at at least gave out a couple recipes.
