I just purchased this lure. Wanted to know since its a high speed trolling lure how fast can you troll and be productive

Do you have to add weight to these when trolling?

Answer: Used this past weekend trolling around 8 to 10 knots running 30 miles off Hilton Head. Caught 12 bonita and 3 barracuda. Used without adding weight. I just ordered several 16oz trolling weights hoping to get these down about 10 feet.

Answer: Trolled the one I bought at eight-teen knots and it swam fine. The first time out it was in the water for no more than five minutes and a Barracuda hit it. Haven't use it since, no chances to go offshore.
