Raging Stallion : Nice smoke flavor with the convenience of a propane grill

This smoker tube performed flawlessly on my propane grill. (See short video) It adds a perfect thin blue smoke to any meal but with the convenience and speed of a propane grill. I was a little worried that wood chips would fall out of the open end, but I didn't seem to have any issues with it. Perhaps next time, I'll experiment with wood pellets to see if I can adjust the flavor of some meats.

I thought that the tube itself was made with good-quality steel, and it added a nice flavor. What more could anyone want? I definitely recommend this to anyone that wants the flavor of a traditional smoker/grill but doesn't have the time to mess with timely charcoal.

I like this simple tool...allows me to combine wood pellets and my kettle-type grill to get smoky flavor. Here's my advice: unless you are smoking a big-ass brisket or pork butt, don't fill it up all the way. On a trial run I filled it just about 2/3rds with pellets and then lit it with my propane torch. I let the fire burn about 5-6 minutes then blew out the flame. The tube put out good smoke for 3 hours +. For all but the long, 10-12 hour cooks it should work great.

Sometimes you need to add smoke flavor without much heat and this is the bad boy that you need. There are plenty of these things on the market, so pick one you like and get to smoking.

Had no idea a contraption like this even existed. Tried it to smoke several different cheeses and it worked really well. My idea of using cheese SLICES was not a good idea however. Will work great on blocks or chunks of cheese I believe.

LL : Great price, works well, simple, yet huge "smoke" addition to your gas BBQ food

This "Grizzleit Pellet Smoker Tube" kit is low cost, yet very effective, in terms of adding "smoke" effect to food that you are grilling on you typical gas grill. Gas grills are quick and easy to use, but most of the time, you do miss wonderful "hardwood smoking" effect that you get when you are BBQing with hardwood or lump charcoal etc.. This "Grizzleit Smoker Tube" comes to the rescue! Using this tube, and some quality "smoker pellets", you can add that "smoking" effect back onto whatever your are grilling on your gas grill.

This tube is easy to use, just fill it up with "smoker pellets", leave a little bit of room so that when you lay this tube flat, the pellets are not falling out (I actually think that one improvement that this product can have is to have a "cap", so even if I fill it up, nothing will "fall out"). Lighting it is easy with the use of a torch. I generally let it burn for a few minutes and then i blow out the "flame", and from that point on, the pellets will continue to slow burn and pipe out smokes.

It claimed that you will get 5-hours of smoke but in my experience, even if I fill up the tube, I may get at most 2 or 3 hours worth of smoke. This is plenty for most of the thing I do, but if I want more, I just need to put on my 900F BBQ glove, pull the tube out, refill it and relight it.

Additional cool thing about this "kit" is that on top of the "smoker tube", it includes a few other nice items - a brush for cleaning this tube, a brush for your BBQ basting, and 2 hanger hooks (supposedly for use to hang the tube for drying; yet I really don't see how useful these are, and I never use them).
