Cindy : A must have for every kitchen

The Food Saver Vacuum Sealer is a must have item for every kitchen. This is a very easy to use and clean machine. You can use any brand of vacuum sealing bags. The effort it takes to use this is rewarded with less freezer burn and fresher food longer. You will be throwing away less food and saving on your food budget. This is worth the counter space it takes up for ease of use.

Darkoasis : Has extras that most sealers don't

The best reason that I recommend this sealer is that it has the hose included and other sealers that I have ordered do not include that. It seals and vacuums very tightly. Very good value for the money.

The Best Source For Unbiased Reviews! : Works great, not sure what all the buttons do

Works alright but I'm not sure what all the buttons do and there's nothing in there saying what they do. Aside from that for regular vacuum sealing, this does the job ok and comes at a decent price point. If they'd put some better instructions and labels on buttons this would be perfect.

In these times of uncertainty, it is nice to have an extra supply of food on hand. And when keeping a large amount of food, it is important to rotate stock so that nothing goes to waste. Vacuum sealing is a great way to prolong the freshness of a large variety of foods - meats, vegetables, fruits, nuts, and grains. We didn't want to break the bank, so the price point of this Food Saver Vacuum Sealer Packing Machine was attractive.

I have never used one of these machines before. And the instructions here are a little awkward. These have obviously been translated from another language, and there are plenty of odd phrases that will bring a smile to your face. It's readable though, and I had little problem deciphering the intent.

I did mess up a few times trying to figure out how to align the bags and what exactly the buttons labeled "Strong dry pumping" and "Soft wet smoke" actually do. Basically, it's dry (like nuts) or wet (like chicken) sealing. There is also a button just to create a seal without the vacuum - handy when working with rolls of sealing materials.

This machine works great. And seriously, I'll give it bonus points because it looks very much like a PlayStation 5 that I was unable to pre-order. If you are looking for a entry level vacuum sealer, then I highly recommend this particular product. We love it.

Dave Evers : It works, but what is “soft wet smoke”?

I’m used to mangled translations in product guides and documentation, but this is the first product I have seen that had a head-scratcher built into the user interface. The buttons to select the vacuum action are labeled “Strong Dry Pumping”, “Single Seal”, and “Soft Wet Smoke”. My best attempt at description is that this function is to lower the vacuum suction for wet foods, so all the sauce/marinade isn’t pulled out.

The unit comes with a few sized bags, and a roll for custom-sized applications. It works as I expected. It also includes a hose to use with sealing jars, but I haven’t had a chance to try that yet.

If you can get past the “Soft Wet Smoke” mystery, this is a good budget sealer option.

Nicocallie : Food Is Just As Fresh As When I Put It In

When I got this vacuum sealer I was really excited. I love being able to buy things in bulk when they are a good deal but often times I am unable to use all of the item before it goes bad. As a family of 5 meat is not normally the issue. It is herbs and fruits and veggies. These things are so much cheaper in bulk or from a farmers market but how many bell peppers can you really eat in a row before you are sick of them? I was really hoping for a great solution. I have been freezing the herbs and veggies in standard zipper bags. While they were still in okay condition about a month later they didn't really taste fresh any more. I took a few things of meat, some herbs and some veggies and put them all in the vacuum bags the day I got it. I also took the same items and put them in freezer bags and then I cooked them both last night. I was blown away by how much fresher the items in the vacuum bags tasted.
We have mostly used the "dry" feature but we did do a BBQ marinade on chicken last week to try the wet feature and it worked great as well. The included bags are fairly small and the machine can handle larger ones. I bought a different brand of bags and they worked with the machine just fine. Overall the machine worked exactly how I expected and my food tasted much fresher after long term storage.

Small Castle : My new favorite kitchen gadget

I’m loving my new kitchen gadget. I’ve never had a food vacuum before so this is a first for me. Here’s what I love about this food vacuum sealer:
— it comes with sample plastic bags so you can start using it straight out of the box
— easy to use
— compact and lightweight
— the food that I vacuum sealed are still intact

The only issue I have is that the instruction manual was not clear on how to use it... I had to go online and watch how to use a food vacuum sealer.
