Questions about Wevac Chamber Vacuum Sealer, CV10, ideal for liquid or juicy food including Fresh Meats, Soups, Sauces and Marinades. Compact design, Heavy duty, Professional sealing width, Commercial machine
Q:
has anyone used a 10 x 13 vacuum bag successfully using the CV10 ?
Answer: Its very tricky. I would say the 10x12 would probably be the largest size to still easily get it to close and seal properly without some part going past the seals. I use 10x10 bags because I couldn't easily find the 10x12 bags so I am not 100% sure that they are easier but 10x10 bags are great.
Answer: Yes
Q:
Does this have a external port for use with canisters?
Answer: No
Q:
what is the height inside the chamber? Will it hold a pork roast, for example?
Answer: Hi, it's 3.9 inch high inside. I'm not sure how thick is your pork roast but it's sufficient for a meal or two.
Q:
2 questions: Are there any bags included with this sealer? How wide is the seal?
Answer: No bags and it is 11.2 inch wide
Q:
My chamber seal gasket looks to have a small tear. Is this normal? It looks like the seal is one long piece that is glued together.
Answer: This is normal as long as the sealing effect is good. Let me know if you have more questions. Thank you.
Q:
Will a 8 x 12 bag fit in the chamber?
Answer: Yes, you will stacking high to reduce the length.
Q:
Tenemos dudas sobre el funcionamiento nos pueden mandar el teléfono del vendedor ?
Q:
How does this unit turn off?
Answer: Hello, this model of our machine cannot be completely powered off except for unplugging, but the standby power is very low, almost negligible, thanks.
Q:
Hello, is the cv10 works for japan, 100v , 60hz ?
Answer: This is an interesting question. The sealing time might be longer. Yet we haven't tested it. I will not recommend you to buy it for Japan.
Q:
Does this unit operate on 220v as well as 110v?
Answer: no, this one is only for 110V-120V. We have the 220v version to be release in Germany and UK, and are now waiting for the CE certificates to publish.
Q:
Is this machine dual voltage?
Answer: This US standard model is only for 110V - 120V.
Q:
Where is it made in?
Q:
Will this seal the 4.5 mil retort pouches?
Q:
Why are there fake reviews? At least try to make it less obvious.
Answer: I haven't wrote a review. The unit is good as long as you are fine with bags 10 inch or less wide.
Product reviews of Wevac Chamber Vacuum Sealer, CV10, ideal for liquid or juicy food including Fresh Meats, Soups, Sauces and Marinades. Compact design, Heavy duty, Professional sealing width, Commercial machine
Jeff : Works, but needs some changes.
So far I've had good results with this chamber vac, but it's far from perfect. The benefits of a chamber vac are clear - it's great to be able to throw meat in a bag with some liquid marinade and seal it without having to worry about the marinade getting sucked up into the machine, like you would with a standard vac sealer. It also seems to be really good at getting every last bit of air possible out of the bag.
There are some things I would change, however. First of all, the vast majority of bags on the market are 8 inches or 11 inches wide. This chamber vac has a maximum bag width of 10 inches. I wouldn't have been that big of a deal to give us that extra inch to ensure we'd be able to use the common bag sizes, but instead I have to keep my standard vacuum sealer around to handle the larger bags.
There's a quick setting for small or large bags, but small bags are 6 inches or smaller. I don't think I've ever even seen 6-inch wide bags. So everything that goes in it is considered a large bag. No big deal. There's a way to customize the length of the vacuum process as well as the seal process. My question is, based on what information are you adjusting the vacuum time? There's no window to see when it's done. The Large Bag preset works fine in every case so far, although it does take a full minute not including the seal time. Basically all of that vacuum time customization is useless to me, the only setting I ever use is the large bag preset. If you're not in a hurry, taking a more than a minute for a full cycle is probably fine (although, this machine is LOUD). If you're doing a couple of bags you may find yourself getting a bit impatient.
What this machine really needs is a window. If you can see what you're doing, that opens up the opportunity to add features like pulse, and the ability to stop the vacuum process when you know it's done, rather than having to wait the full minute each time. And of course, that extra inch so I can use my 11" rolls would be nice too.

For under $300 I say it's a steal. I’ve gotten very nice results in the last week since I have it. It’s powerful, seals good and is airtight. It's a chamber sealer, great for wet food. With the machine, I no longer need to worry about sauce and marinade getting sucked out of the bag. I can also use less expensive bags. In the long run, the cost will get even out, compared to the cheaper suction type vac machines. There is a smartVac program, automatically vacuums and seals based on the bag size. And there is a Customized Vac function that you can set vacuum time. You can also manually adjust the heating seal time, set it longer if you use thicker bags, or if the sealing area of the bag gets wet. You can seal without vac, of which you can make custom size bags from vacuum rolls. You can also seal anything without vacuum: seal your veggies with just regular market produce bags, or seal documents for extra protections. There is a retractable clip on the front center of the opening, designed as a clamp to hold the lower side of your vacuum bag. Instruction said to “taut and ease the bag into the clip with a gentle but firm back and forth motion”. Do make sure that it is all the way into the inner side of the clip - not half way. On a successful engagement, you can feel the grip from the clip, and the opening of the bag won’t fall out by itself, even before the clip is pushed in. This clip not only helps ensure the bag opening is inside the chamber, it also helps secure the bag so that it won’t fall into the lower part of the chamber. This also eliminates the need of a see-thru top. Which in turn, helps lower the production cost. There is a marinade mode, which sucks and releases air to help force your marinade into the meat, and shorten the time for the process. The seal bar is only 10 inches in length. There’s the limitation for the size of bags you may use. Work around is to seal one corner of the larger bag, and make the opening of your bags smaller than 10 inches. I have mixed results on this method, but the machine wasn’t designed to use this way. Still, we are not out of luck just yet, - see below. The smart design of the machine is that it also does external vacuum and seal. If your item won't fit inside the chamber, vacuum seal it outside, just like a suction style vacuum sealer. As with other suction vac sealers, you need to use embossed bags for this to work. Theoretically there is no limit on the length of the bag that you may use. And, if your item is more than 10 inches in width, you may use gusseted vacuum bags/rolls, embossed type of course. These bags/rolls have 4-sides, folded flat on opening, expendable to hold larger items. As with all the other chamber vac, this one has its limitations. Such as limited capacity - you have to fit everything into the chamber. Furthermore, it generally takes longer - this is normal as the machine has to work harder to pump all the air out of the chamber, not only the air inside the bag. The seal bar on my machine came separately tucked inside a hole in the packing material. You may or may not miss it depending on which way you open the box from. Don’t throw away the packing material before you find it. There is a black tap (looks like an electric tap) on top of the seal wire/seal bar. Do not remove that tap. The machine takes up quite some space on my countertop. It looks sturdy, like a workhorse. How long will it last? I guess time will tell. All in all, I love it. For the money, it is worth every penny.
Belinda G. : Best Vacuum Sealer I’ve Ever Had
I love that I can use any brand or size bag. It’s like an all in one vacuum sealer. My “food saver” vacuum sealer was great for dry ingredients but wet ones not so great. This one is great for both. Wet ingredients do not cause any areas to be and vacuumed. It looks complicated but it’s actually rather easy to use. If you want to seal your bag all you have to do is put your bag inside and the end of your bag that you want to seal you put in the clip at the front then close hit seal then start. If you want to vacuum seal your bag you lay your bag inside, then again place the bottom only end of your bag into the clip. Then close it press smart vac and then start. It gives you options to use small or large bags or you can custom the size of your bags. I mostly just use the smart vac because it takes all of the hard work out of it. I’ve used vacuum sealer‘s for many years and this is my absolute favorite and the best one I’ve had. Highly recommend it.

Thomas E. Tweedel : Heavy Duty
I got this hoping for an improvement over my foodsaver vacuum sealer and its crazy expensive bags. It is an improvement in some areas but not by as much as I was expecting. Its quite a larger unit. The way that it works is you put the sealing bar in (do NOT remove the tape) , put your food in the bag and then stick the mouth of the bag into unit. This means the majority of your bagged food is out in front of the unit. Keep that in mind with your available counterspace. Then you close the lid, select your setting and hit go. It can go quick or long, there are some auto settings or your can do it manual for a certain amount of time. The fact that the food is hanging out in front of and blocking your controls is kind of annoying, they really should have put the controls on top. It sucks, seals and releases. Standard stuff. I was expecting a better seal than my foodsaver but it did not deliver. Just as many air pockets. If you have any obstructions (like juices from pouring things in the bag) it can compromise the seal so you have to check it. I used the OEM brand bags. What advantage does this have against the foodsaver? Custom vacuum time, cheaper bags and a better duty cycle. Its heavy duty and you can run it all day without burning it out (recommend 30 seconds between cycles). If you’re just looking for a way to seal up some leftovers or the weeks cooking this unit is probably overkill. Its best for people that have a lot of space and are doing large batches. Like processing the seasonal harvest or prepping a bunch of stuff for a group. Maybe avid gardeners, hunters, that lady in charge of food for the church group or caterers. The OEM bags are much cheaper than foodsavers.

BFoosh : Can’t Recommend. I Feel Scammed.
I bought this chamber vac sealer to use for bulk purchases, for extended storage and also for sous vide and marinating. When I first received it, I tested it and was satisfied. It sealed a bag of dried beans better than my old school sealer ever did. Was very happy. Tried a second time, this time with a raw seasoned steak, about two weeks later. It vacuumed it, but wouldn’t seal properly. I noticed the bag was crinkled on one side, which prevented the proper seal. Probably user error. Fast forward almost a month later. I have four small 6x10” bags, each with dry rubbed skirt steak portions, with plenty of headroom. It would go through the motions of vacuuming pretty tightly, but would not seal. Tried multiple times with a different bag each time. Suction seemed fine. Sealing didn’t work. Threw an E1 error a couple times. Also tried to use it like a FoodSaver, with the bag outside of the device, since it supports this function. Same issue. I went to look for their website, for warranty info, and I can’t find their website. Searched Wevac Direct. No site exists. I also bought an Allstate extended warranty, but that doesn’t kick in until the manufacturer warranty has expired. Can’t find warranty info to determine when that is. At this point, I feel I have had $300 stolen, and I’m extremely disappointed. I was stupid to not return it immediately after the second attempt. My return window has passed. If I had known this was garbage, I would have bought another brand at a higher price. If I ever get any resolution from WeVac or Amazon or Allstate, I’ll update this review. Until then, I’d stay away from this seller. This may be my worst experience with an Amazon purchase since I’ve been a customer, over 20 years.
David : Brand new out of the box did not work
Unpacked it and followed the instructions to the letter. No matter what I did the vacuum would not start even though the machine turned on. I tried Auto, I tried manual but every time I pressed the start switch error code E01 would show up on the display. The E01 code explanation in the manual makes no sense! Also there is no manufacturers web site or phone number anywhere I could find for help! Really disappointed with this purchase. Sending it straight back and I am reluctant to buy another of this brand! I would give it a zero star if I could!
Ang : Perfect for things with liquid
Works really well, I use this sealer when I have chicken and other items with a lot of liquids to seal up so it doesn’t make a mess. Does a really good job and I’m happy with it. It is a little bit pricey though so if you seal things often it is well worth the price.

Daniel H. : It took a min to get used to but amazing machine.
It took me a few times to get it right. Now I measure. Set my chamber to 60 and press the seal button at 5 seconds. Works like a charm!
L Parr : Understand it's limitations and it's perfect!
I have had a foodsaver for years and use it constantly, but try to put anything in a foodsaver bag with even the slightest amount of liquid and your in trouble. Enter a chamber sealer. The biggest difference, and the reason I got it is because you can seal anything with liquids...yup, even if its ONLY liquid, you can seal it. This is mostly used in industry and this is a much smaller unit. Because of that it does have it's limitations. You will have no problems sealing steaks and chops, with our without marinade, and small roasts like a pork loin will be okay although you may have to cut it in half as the depth of the machine in only a few inches and you need to use bags that are 8x10. With my food saver I could seal a 20 pound turkey...that's not happening with this unit. Easy to use with preset setting or use the manual setting for whatever you want. Because of the way it seals, the bags are much cheaper and you don't have to spend the price for foodsaver type bags. Because of the curved design, it is much easier to clean. I will be using this to seal homemade stock that will enable me to fit so much more in my freezer...right now I use mason jars. The other thing I will be using this for is to make boil in bag meals. I can put soups, stews or entire meals in these bags and then pop them in the freezer. When I'm ready to eat I need only pop them in a pot of boiling water...no cleanup with the exception of the plate and utensils. Footprint...much bigger than my foodsaver but much smaller than most commercial units. The price is the same that I paid for the foodsaver I currently have. Knowing the limitations, for the right person, this sealer is a great buy and will save time, space, money and food.
