Answer: It all depends on how fast you retrieve the bait faster you retrieve is 1to3 feet slower retrieve it be 4 to 10 feet

Answer: they sink slowly, but when casted and straight retrieved, they run about 4 ft.

I'm wondering how you can get consistent action from this lure? I tried it a few times last year but felt like it doesn't swim very well all the time.
Answer: I love this lure. I used in Canada and Minnesota. Caught a ton of pike and had many follows for musky (unfortunately no strikes). I found the best use was to burn it at about a foot down in the water column and action was fine. I bought four or five.

A well made product with great potential. I ordered four of these and I highlighted some of the markings myself on one of them. I did this as an experiment on colour / target perception by other fish. This was done after I checked how the lure "swims" and there was no problem at all. All delivered ahead of stated time.

Since it is so heavy, make sure your line is heavy enough to cast it out. I haven't caught any tiger muskie yet but I don't blame the lure.

Immediately landed a big pike. Unfortunately I have since lost both of them that I ordered to snags. One of them I thin kI will be able to get back once the water level in the river goes down some. I do highly recommend them for big pike.

I really loved this lure. It had awesome action, nice weight for casting, maneuvered well amongst the cabbage beds. But like some other reviewers commented, it is cheaply made. There is some sort of mesh synthetic tape between each segment of the lure that doesn’t hold up well-my tail fell off without any sort of resistance. Bummer.

I can't believe how realistic this lure looks in the water. After a long afternoon of poor fishing with no bites between my buddy and I, we finally saw what we thought was a muskie on the fish finder. I decided to put one of these 8" Pike style lures on. After a few casts and no dice, i thought to myself, "oh well, the price for these lures was too good to be true". I reeled in to the side of the boat and was still admiring the action on the lure as i pulled it back and forth next to the boat. All of the sudden, a 33" muskie exploded up to my lure. He was so close to the boat that he splashed me when he hit! He got both sets of treble hooks stuck in him, and we netted him into the boat. The only issue I had was that two of my hooks got straightened out a bit, but they did the trick. This was my first ever muskie, and I'm certainly hungry for more after this experience!

When working this bait tho you gotta let it drop a bit first before reeling, otherwise the action isn't as strong as it could be. Retrieve the bait pretty quickly overall.
