Answer: I looked at the photo of a Reynolds bag sealer on line, and if it has a hole where you place the vacuum, the answer is NO....I had a zip loc system like that, which seems more like what you are looking for.
Answer: No, Unless your sealer has a sealer. From what I seen online, Reynolds Bag sealer uses Reynolds bags with a hole in the bag to suck the air out and then you slide the slider to close.

Answer: Yes. I have cut the bag in half and seal an end to make two smaller bags. There is not much room afterward but I freeze chili peppers and didn't want all to be in a larger setup. I guess you can also cut the bags long ways, seal the cut side and make two long tubes for storing hot dogs or other tube things.

This review is for the 8x12 bags. The bags were advertised as "Heavy Duty" but they are not. Other bags I have ordered from this manufacturer listed as heavy duty are textured on one side and smooth on the other, no problem sealing those. These bags are thin and smooth on both sides. I have a Food Saver that is only 2 months old and can seal other bags so it is not my unit. I returned these for a refund.

However the big issue is they won't seal with any moisture content at all. Garden veggies, fish, whatever if it has moisture they won't seal. So if you've got some dehydrated sand, or maybe some desert fossils you need to vacuum pack, buy away, otherwise avoid these useless things.

I've had a Foodsaver for 15-20 years and love it. The bags are expensive. I found them at Kohls for a discount a few years ago. Bonsenkitchen Vacuum Sealer Rolls are just as good as the brand names. I will never go back.

Not as thick as the original, but better than any other alternative to name brand and plenty for any kitchen task.
