These are definitely better than the bags that came with our vacuum sealer. They are thicker, feel sturdier, and were easier to use than what came with the appliance. These are great. No leaks! No complaints!

These are vacuum sealer bags, 5- count. They're as you would expect, with the little vacuum bag indentations or cross-hatches or whatever. But, the important thing is, they work as you would expect - they seal and vacuum seal fine. Pre-cut size makes it more convenient to seal as well. So far, so good, no problems!

These are not pint-sized bags. They are 8x12 inches. I attached photos of them with a quart-sized freezer bag. As you can see, they are quite a bit taller than the quart-sized bag.

I personally am happy they are the larger size. It makes them much more practical.

I have recently acquired a Toprime Vacuum sealer and wanted some additional vacuum bags. The price for these was pretty good, so I ordered. They fit my machine perfectly. I am diligently working on my food storage for the zombie apocalypse (LOL) and these will assist greatly. They are of heavy plastic, can be written on with a Sharpie, and I are heavy enough that I do not need to worry about freezer burn if I put them in the freezer instead of using them for dry storage items. They were shipped quickly, packaged appropriately, and arrived safely. The bags are quite large, not skimpy little things. The size is a very useful one. I am happy!

I've used every bag and not one issue! Sealing was fine. It's tough but flexible. Easy to open. I've had some wear you need a grizzley bear to open them. They just stretch and make a mess. These stretch a little then tear right open. Great bags!

Karl : An economical alternative to brand name bags that cost much more

I use a lot of vacuum bags. I try to reuse bags as much as possible because of the cost of the bags and to reduce waste. These bags are just as good as the name brand bags I purchased from the retail store. They are sturdy and do a good job of preventing freezer burn. I have been using them for over a month now and have not had any fail on me yet. I have used several of them 2-3 times which is all you should ask from a bag like this. I rinse them with soapy water and hang them to air dry before reusing them.

A good tip is to always use the entire bag even for smaller jobs. Then write the contents and the date on the seal line where the vacuum sealer melts the bag together. That way when you cut the bag open you cut off the writing and it is ready to be reused for a smaller job the next time around.

I like to cook a lot of food in my sous vide cooker and these bags hold up fine to long hours in the hot water without any issue.

You can also use these for more than just food. They work well for preventing jewelry and coins for tarnishing during long term storage. They also work for keeping things dry in your pack when exploring the outdoors; keep some matches, tinder, and a candle in a bag in your pack and you will never be without fire no matter how wet or humid it gets. Another handy use is to vacuum seal yourself some spare socks, shirt, and shorts while hiking just in case.

Good vacuuming sealing bags. I like that these are bags and not a roll. The thickness is good. I sealed single-serving size peanut packets and froze them -- this is taken a few days later. I checked to make sure they had remained sealed and they did. Aggravating if bags lose their seal and air gets in. These bags are a decent size for my use (plus I already have larger sized sealing bags). You get fifty of these -- and the price is amazing for that many.

Another plus is that the bags are long. For single servings it makes no difference., But if you have a larger quantity of something sealed, you can cut bag open right beneath your original seal, remove some of the contents, and have enough room to re-seal the bag. With smaller/shorter bags, you can't really re-seal them unless you have only a tiny amount in the bag. Long bags are always my favorite for this reason (assume they make them long just for this purpose).

These work just as well as the name brand bags.
--The thickness and toughness is the same; rib bones, for example, do not pierce them easily
--They seal easily
--They have a little notch in the side, making them easy to open. This is a nicer feature than one might imagine--you don't have to cut them open with scissors and then have to wash the scissors (which are hard to be sure are clean because they are so tight together at the pivot point, allowing bacteria to potentially hide).

Also, a general comment on bags--why buy them instead of a roll? For me, it is a question of the fact that I am really, really bad at cutting in a straight line, so I end up with a crooked edge, which is a lot harder to seal. Precut bags eliminate this problem.
