Our Big Active Family : Exactly what I would expect out of Vacuum Sealer Storage Bags

Nothing to complain about here so far! Work well, no holes, keeps things fresh!

These are definitely better than the bags that came with our vacuum sealer. They are thicker, feel sturdier, and were easier to use than what came with the appliance. These are great. No leaks! No complaints!

I love using pre-cut bags when I have multiple servings to seal. They are more expensive than creating bags from a roll, but when you’ve got several pieces to seal, creating bags from a roll gets very tiresome and time-consuming. I like to buy in bulk and cook large portions and seal and freeze leftovers.

These bags are a good medium size, very useful.

I used several of these to store everything from raw meat to baked goods. All the bags sealed well, no failures, no leaks.

I especially like that these come in a box. I had another batch of pre-cut bags that came in a plastic bag and they flop all over the place. The box keeps these neat and tidy and clean.

We really like that these vacuum bags are extra tough! We have used other bags which were premade and found that they were not as good as these for the time and effort that we put into the preparation of food.

We have used many different bags and it seemed that they would not really do the job since they would lose the seal and when making sous vide it was necessary to leave them in the water for a considerable period of time. We tried to keep them sealed and they would not stand up to our checking on being done like these. These are great, seal great, and when you want to marinate an item these are terrific as you can go from the first step to the last without a problem. Highly recommend these!

Virginia Allain : Good to Freeze Your Meats

I like to keep a good stock of vacuum sealer bags on hand to store meat and other foods in our deep freeze. We use the Food Saver machine for this and these bags are good for all brands of vacuum sealers. Usually, I get the rolls that I cut to size and seal to form a bag.
Having these ready-made bags saves one step and a little aggravation and time when I'm prepping lots of meat for the freezer. These are a good thickness and are great for my needs. My husband has been wanting to try out the sous vide method of cooking steaks, so with these, he can do that.
One side is smooth and one side is textured.

And at least as good a quality as the name-brand pre-made bags. I've gone through about three different models of vacuum sealers since purchasing the first one for $5 at a yard sale. For keeping frozen items edible over a long period of time, there is nothing better. We do a trip to a specialty meat market once a month, then part out bulk purchases and seal them for the freezer, so I've gone through miles of plastic media over the years. These bags are solid and a good size for things like pot roasts and large steaks.

Brian Kelly : As good as name brand for sous vide

These work just as well as the name brand bags.
--The thickness and toughness is the same; rib bones, for example, do not pierce them easily
--They seal easily
--They have a little notch in the side, making them easy to open. This is a nicer feature than one might imagine--you don't have to cut them open with scissors and then have to wash the scissors (which are hard to be sure are clean because they are so tight together at the pivot point, allowing bacteria to potentially hide).

Also, a general comment on bags--why buy them instead of a roll? For me, it is a question of the fact that I am really, really bad at cutting in a straight line, so I end up with a crooked edge, which is a lot harder to seal. Precut bags eliminate this problem.

I generally buy the rolls and make my own custom bags – it’s a little cheaper and I like the flexibility. That said, I saw this at a good price and thought I would try it. I may be hooked!

These are great bags. 8” X 12” is a good size and the pre-sealed end has a little notch for tearing that is super handy. There is a “waffle” side good for getting air out from under your food and a smooth side, like other quality bags I have used. The thickness is good, and the pre-sealed end is a bigger convenience than I thought it would be. Writing on these with a Sharpie works great, and I can’t tell the difference between these and the far more expensive name brand. I used this on a "Seal-A-Meal" without issue.

You truly can’t go wrong with this. Highly recommended, and a no-brainer!
