I didn't over-fill the bags. I never could get the "seal only" feature to work either.

THIS IS A GREAT BUY. ONCE I RECEIVED IT WENT STRAIGHT TO THE KITCHEN TO TRY IT OUT. I USED ALL THE BAGS THAT WERE INCLUDED IN THE ORDER. GOOD THING I ORDERED EXTRA. IT IS LOW PROFILE AND WILL NOT TAKE UP MUCH ROOM IN YOUR CABINET.

This item has to be the biggest piece of recommend garbage one could purchase from Amazon. There is nothing more frustrating than buying groceries (in bulk) to separate food and find out the machine only wants to seal. 2 hours later i’m done! returning this garbage.

After receiving the product I immediately took the sealer out of the box and tested it out. A bit confused on how to get the vacuum function to work I read through the manual to figure out what appears to be a simple machine. Following all of the instructions: I still encountered problems with the vacuum featur working and when it did it still did not get all the air out of the bags. The sealing feature seamed to just melt the tops of the bags to the point that the bags seamed to be destroyed. Overall this is not a good product and definately not worthy of the high rating from me.
