Answer: It is not stamped and I no longer have the original packaging. The highest temp. My Nesco 80 will operate at is 160 F or 71 c so I don't know if heat leaching is an issue. There was never a smell from the use or an unusual taste of the finished product.

Is this a good product for drying out nuts and seeds that I've soaked? I like to soak about 2-3 cups per week. It's healthier.
Answer: Yes, it would work very nicely but you have to make sure you order the "Clean-A-Screen" for each drying tray or else the small seeds like sunflower would fall through grates on tray. Pumpkin seeds would be alright. One screen should be all you need if you're just drying 2 cups per week. You can order them on the Nesco website and probably Amazon as well. Eat Healthy!

If you are buying or have bought a square Nesco dehydrator, you should certainly order these additional drying trays. The dehydrator unit comes with 4 trays included, the minimum needed for proper operation, and can handle up to 8. So a set or 2 of these extra trays makes great sense, unless you plan to dehydrate only fairly small batches. I have found that my total of 6 trays easily holds about 3 pounds of sliced or ground meat jerky, and around 8-10 large sliced apples.
An important point to remember is that food dries faster and more evenly if the trays are not too crowded, so the extra trays allow you to keep the morsels spread out. It might also make sense to order the square dehydrator first, try a few batches and see how much product it makes with 4 trays. Then you can decide whether to order either 1 additional set (2 trays) or 2 sets (4 trays).

We knew from reading the reviews and talking to friends who dehydrated that we'd want more than the 4 trays that came with the and ordered the box of 2 additional ones at the same time we purchased the dehydrator (which was the exact same price on Amazon as it was at Walmart).
When you have all 6 trays in the dehydrator, you will want to shift the trays around so that they all take turns up at the top end, especially if you've loaded the trays somewhat densely, even without overlapping. The dehydrator does it's job faster (not better) when it has just a few trays, and takes longer the more trays you use.
Tip: As my foods dried and shrank, I combined them onto fewer trays and that seemed to really speed up dehydration.
I know we'd all like to get things dehydrated as quickly as possible, and it's tempting to crank up the heat, but I don't want the nutrients, especially in fruits and vegetable to be destroyed by excessive heat.

I order two sets of these to increase my tray capacity to eight. The new trays look and fit perfectly. As far as replacements go, this is what you want. I did notice that I got the most even drying using only four trays, and that increasing to 6 wasn't too bad, but using all eight required me to rotate the trays. Just keep it in mind if you're looking to expand vs replace.

Fits my Nesco dehydrator perfectly and allows me to get a lot more done at the same time. Same trays as come with the original dehydrator. Easy to wash, can be put into the dishwasher or scrubbed by hand. Love that the slats are of varying sizes, so I can put smaller pieces where they won't fall through, and larger pieces where they'll get more air. One tip, the top trays dry first, and the outside edges do as well. The closer to the center you get (and the closer to the bottom of the tray stack), the longer those pieces will take, so I plan accordingly and put thicker pieces near the edge and thin, easily dried pieces towards the center.

These additional trays are a match to the original trays. I ordered these two additional trays before using the Dehydrator. The trays are very good and I like them but because this dehydrator came with four large trays, really did not need the additional capacity. Grandkids like the pineapple and the jerky. The original shipment got lost but it worked out in the end.

The Nesco dehydrator is great. I use it exclusively for making chicken treats for my dogs, which means I run it at the highest temperature setting all the time. Some of the the grating on the racks that came with the machine have become brittle and broken, but only a small amount. To be on the safe side, I bought these extra. It's a good product.

These screens are for the Nesco F89 dehydrator and we love it. They are well built and we feel they will withstand many months of daily use. Another great product. They work fine. I used some plastic mesh shelf lining over them so that the small pieces of fruit I dried didn't fall through. I wondered if the added trays would dry ok and it worked fine.

Love our Nesco FD-80 dehydrator and use it all the time. These trays can be used with the original four to achieve the maximum number allowed/recommended by the manufacturer. Drying efficiency is not altered by the addition of these two trays.

Update-I have been using this for almost a year, now. I love it. I primarily dry herbs and tomatoes. This makes excellent seasoned and dried tomatoes for pasta. It's very easy to clean--dishwasher on a cooler and shorter setting.
