Simple to use, helps give extra smoke flavor on higher heat cooks and even better to cold smoke things like cheeses. Having a propane torch really helps get it started but once it does it chugs along nicely.

Great for adding a little extra smoke flavor to your food. I use a pellet grill and when I want things extra Smokey, I fill the tube up with pellets, light it, and let it burn for about 10 minutes. Then if the flame hasn’t gone out, you blow it out, lay it on it’s side and stick it in. Once that smolder has started I have been getting 4-6 hours of smoke from the tube.

Best helpful hint - buy a blowtorch to light it. A dinky little lighter takes too long and results in burned finger tips.

Works well enough to put some smoke flavor on the meat on a propane grill. I found that fully loaded I get about 4 hours of smoke.
