It's cheap and easy to put together but has several design flaws. I had to drill holes in the fire box tray so the ash didnt choke heat from the coals. Temp guage on the front is off by a solid 20-30 degrees and its difficult to control temperature with the dampeners. However, when you can get all that stuff right, there plenty of cook space and produces a good flavor.

Product does not get above 200 degree F with or without the water pan in place.
Charcoal burns out after about 3 hours and does not get really hot because they are always covered in ash once completely lit. There is no place for the ash to go. Had to finish my Christmas turkey in the oven in order to make dinner time, after several hours in the smoker.
Does create a good flavor if the meat is not too thick and you have the time and patience.
